    Default SEO Newbie

So i just started making SEO on my website, for now i use Yoast and only made their recommendations like adding key words to page titles and a proper description. I know that is very basic so i would like to ask you guys some recommendations or tips for someone who is still a noob with this.

    Thanks in advance!

Also, there are many thousands of posts here at the GPWA and most often, the answers to your questions may have been covered in previous topics so keep reading as well.

Welcome to the game! Have a read of this, it will give you a very thorough grounding in the concepts: https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo.

My advice: don't expect it to be a quick process for a site in the gambling niche, you have a lot of competition and SEO takes time

Also do not expect miracle inthe first 6-9 months. Just stay focused and work as much as you can, even more than this

If you get chance to go to the industry conferences then they're a great place to start for SEO, there's usually a few different sessions on the subject with some expert speakers and I've got a lot out of these in the past. Some of them are clearly trying to sell you some links/SEO services but there's often a nugget or two that you can pick up in between the sales pitches!

There are so many lenghty pieces on SEO out there. If you are a complete noob, just study the ahrefs and backlinko basic SEO-knowledge- pieces. Shuold teach to enough to make you wonder about certain topics and then you can dig deeper into those topics. Rinse and repeat.

Also, dont expect much the first year, especially if you only do SEO in the gaming-niche

If you've got an affiliate website then just fill the form in and as drifter8 says you'll get in for free once they've validated you. Guess the silly entrance fee quoted is to stop anyone who's just being nosey from turning up on the day

Can't get to Portugal myself this year which is a shame as the smaller conferences tend to be better in my view as they're a little less busy, plus you can tend to get more time with your affiliate managers.
