On a daily basis we use ahrefs (DR, backlink monitoring, keywords), search console (keywords, etc), GA (results) and, of course, excel (combine data, revise performance).

Also, every 1-2 months we run SEO audit at Ahrefs which gives great in-depth summary and action items what needs to be done in terms of technical SEO.

I'm using Sistrix as test at the moment and I, not sure if the numbers and statistics are right. It shows lost keywords (ranking >100) for which we are still rank on page 5 or 6. It doesn't show keywords where we are on page 1 or 2. I'm not sure if I should pay for a tool like this.

For UK, US and Germany the tool is perfect and also the rankings are usually correct. But for some other countries statistics are often wrong, dont know why.

Ahrefs is the most comprehensive tool for SEO newbie. Start with it, and then pick up additional ones if necessary.

ahrefs all the way! I used to like SEMRush before but now they're very bloated - trying to do everything in one but not all well. ahrefs is better!

We tried some different but ahref is our favourite. It's getting better all the time and they have good instruction videos and interesting studies that they continually publish.

I have tried a lot of tools in the past 10 years and think that ahrefs.com has it all. Basically it has everything you need for a proper competitor research + a rank tracker. However, I also use ranktrackr to track my positions as it's not expensive and shows time graph in a simple and neat interface. These 2 tools are completely enough for any SEO expert in my opinion. Some people claim Majestic has an advantage when it comes to authority metrics but that's pretty subjective.

10clicks - nice to see someone taking the time to explain why they use, and favour an SEO tool over another. Anyone can post "I like this tool", but without knowing the reasons why, it's just more forum-white-noise, that amounts to very little, if any, assistance to newbies and alike.

So well done, and thank you

My swiss army knife: Ahrefs, Sistrix, Serpbook (or Ranktracker Pro), Fandango SEO / Screamingfrog (for scraping) and Safecont for content audits
