Default Search Engines get Gatored

"The Gator online advertising network is testing a new paid search product that lets rivals poach on each other's territory in one of the Net's hottest new marketing venues.

Search Scout, launched in December, triggers a pop-under window when Gator members search on a site such as Google and Yahoo. The window lists search results tied to keywords purchased through competing search services.

A small "info" tag on the results says they originate from "top search engines." During the test phase, Gator is using results from paid search kingpin Overture Services, Terra Lycos and FindWhat.com.

Like previous products from Gator, Search Scout allows advertisers to reach members of the Gator network when they are visiting competitors' sites--a feature that has already drawn lawsuits in the context of banner and pop-up advertising..................."

Yes, n-case does this too. Without search engine permission. I wonder how many others are out there.

This getting so frequent on the entire net, consumers can almost count on being approached by scummers.

Most people have no idea they are supporting plain theft.

Default gpwa

 let me see you gpwa now, tell overture to boycott searchscout.com and loose tons of super quality traffic.

searchscout is feeding traffic to overture, all casinos that advertise on overture then support scumware advertising, no ?.
I see captain cooks banner on the top.

I think fighting againsts scumware, popups..etc is just stupid game
people will do anything to get quality traffic and generate higher revenue all casinos that have decide to boycott predatory advertising by their affiliates will notice that in loss of profit.

I think we should find other more interesting dispute and talk about it.
Ilegal-legal gambling in US.

It would be an affiliate banner. I don't place ads on Overture.

Default want answers..

his aff id: Casinao0001

now what is allowed and what is not allowed?
searchscout (sc is owned by gator) can send traffic to overture and we can advertise there! ??

slycin answer me this question and I want answer on this from some casinos too:
Can a webmaster buy traffic from gator to promote his free casino guide website?

If not someone explain me why can then gator popups searchscout ads and deliver traffic to overture.

Is searchscout -- overture position all legal ? buying traffic directly from gator is # 1 cheaper and can target better.

But you will be "black sheep", if you buy it from gator and not from overture, like I said before, overture (expensive) gets tons of gator traffic.

I think at the end it will be TRADAL who is gonna laugh.
