    Site review pls - onlinepokerelite.com

    Hey!

I'm a young webmaster from Hungary and things are getting very bad back here so I decided to focus on my website. I'm doing it alone so everything takes time, but I think I'm already done with the "big part".

It has a unique layout, all designed by myself. Nothing is finished yet, not even tha flash on the main page is ready. You can see a preview of the idea how to promote the poker rooms here:

    http://www.onlinepokerelite.com/pkr-poker-overall

I know that this isn't a regular poker site. I want to make it nice-looking and interactive. I would like to hear you opinion about this whole idea.

    Like:
    - flash on site
    - very.. very detailed reviews
    - only 6 poker rooms promoted
    - etc

I would love to hear your opinion. This thread is also some kind of introduction, I'll share stuff with you regulary and also I think I'll have many questions. Back in 2005 I started to work with online gaming, but I was quite a n00b. Now I feel I have every knowledge to build up a site like this. I really hope it will bring me some money before I'll be starving Thing here in Hungary are real bad right now.

I hope you enjoy my site. Please share your opinion. Every tought is welcome.

You have a neat website. On the home page, try to integrate web poker game to make the website more interactive. I did like the color scheme. All in all good job and good luck

    Hi Shadyz,

    Welcome to GPWA

Hats off to you You said you designed it all by yourself, well... you did a great job. Once you get the reviews worked on and update the news section regularly, it will be top notch.

    Hi Shadyz!

I've never really been involved in the poker industry but I'll do my best based on what I know.

The colour schemes work well, like the kind of camo theme . I've picked up a few things which I would change:
    1. The H1 tag is currently 'Overall', I'd modify the CSS to ensure that something a bit more relevant to the page theme is captured in this, perhaps the title beneath it 'PKR POKER REVIEW'. Should help your overall site structure for SEO.
    2. I'd look at switching your title attribute around a little bit, make sure the keywords are mentioned first and that it is a bit more enticing and descriptive for the user. 'Online Poker Elite - PKR Poker Overall - Online Poker Elite' wouldn't encourage me to click through.
    3. The play now button bit at the bottom should probably be a lot clearer in my opinion. It is your main call to action and the site won't work unless users are drawn to going through using it.

Just a few bits, overall I'd say it is a good job

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Hey Dave!

Thanks for the tips, I know that there is still much to do.. the idea with the h1 tag is real good, maybe I solve that title somehow differently, because I don't like it. It doesn't fit for me to the site so it will be cahnged for sure. Regarding the page titles I haven't done any SEO yet. First I want to have the 6 reviews ready or at least have some text on every subpage. Afterwards I will create content for the main menu links and when these are ready I'm going to go trough every page one by one and setting up everything in sight of SEO. The play button under the text isn't really visible I'm going to change that, but you know there is soooo much to do that I want to have firstly something which is better than a very well designed nothing

I'm going to share my ideas and toughts here on gpwa so I'm sure you are going to see the site when it's a big more ready. In my opinion a website can never be "ready" ther is always something you could do better, or add something, etc.

P.S.: Thanks to everyone who checked my site, it gives me a lots of energy when I read these posts. I really hope my future players will be on the same opinion. Every time I make a new image or design I keep in mind the people will see this and read the content, so beside the visual part I'm going to give big attention to the detailed and interesint content. English is not my mother tongue so I'm a bit scared of content writing but I'll do my best. Maybe my English is a bit simple, but I hope visitors will enjoy reading these reviews.

    Cheers,
    Shadyz
