No doubt if the buyout of skybet from stars group happens we will see them try to recruit affiliates again under the pretense that 'new company = new slate" or some rubbish.

If you've read more than 1 of my posts u'd see I never "tell you what to do" just give out an opinion and an explanation.
I have read many of your posts on here and most of the time I agree with you as you are well informed and obviously an experienced affiliate.

The thing that bothered me is you are saying one thing and then doing another. You are telling people to "give it a rest", then saying all the constant going on about Sky Bet only gives them more press and yet you come back over and over again to reply and engage with people about their comments which in turn adds to the constant publicity.

Anyway, my argument is not with you, we are all pissed with what happened but as with most things it can help talking about it with others who have also suffered the same...

Let's fly a plane over their offices with a banner with a really witty slogan on, maybe "Sky are rubbish".

Indeed it wasn't my intention to offend anyone, (though i have several ppl for which I'm sorry). Anyways I've spoken (in voice) to 2 super affiliates recently, and they stated Skybet has reopened and they are already working with them.

Wow! Some people never learn do they

I would only work with them again if they gave me all the money I that they have stolen plus the rev share I should have earned and they also gave me all the players I had previously. I think hell may freeze over first but you never know

Ha mate, I know a few people who said they would go back, simply because they paid. Unlike some other programs which have never paid in the first place.

Certainly won't be getting my traffic again. They were far too saturated several years ago. Only good thing was their retention. However they have stole all that retention now. You'd have to be a serious mug to go back to these. Although looking back over the past year or so, there are many more who are no better than them. Stargames, Betvictor, PaddyPower, Bet365 to name a few.

This thread has just reminded me that although I swapped over my aff links and for all intensive purposes stopped promoting Skybet I didn't actually change my Skybet review content. The review gets a bit of traffic and ranks OK in the SERPS so I've adjusted it to reflect the current situation.

It seems mad to me that Sky didn't actually own the majority of Sky Bet (I believe it was like 80% CVC Captial and 20% Sky Plc) yet they do license their brand to them and they've let that brand get a bad rep on the back of decisions they didn't control. I guess money talks in all industries and they were happy to stiff marketing partners for their 20% cut of the 3.4bn.

Given the direction Pokerstars have gone in recent years I can't imagine ever working with these guys again. Sky Bet have done the dirty on affiliates, Pokerstars have done similar in the past and don't seem to care much for their players either.

Would be interested in any updates on court cases if anyone can speak about it?

PS - Skybet never stopped working with certain affiliates but they did pay them off to get them off rev share. I believe any now work on CPA only and got something like 6x monthly revenue for current players to keep them happy and get them off rev share.
