I have only seen this here in Canada so far. In fact I have only seen one bank start it up but the idea is excellent and I would imagine it will catch on very quickly with the rest of the major banks very soon.

CIBC now has a debit card that is also a Visa card and the owner chooses to either use it as one or the other. This means they can use it online to make purchases and it comes directly out of their account as a debit card would but is accepted as a visa where visa is accepted.

No risk to credit rating because it acts like a pre paid credit card and casinos wont have any problems allowing it because the banks wont say no because the funds HAVE TO be there in order for the transaction to be completed.

This also solves the problem with charge backs because there is nothing to charge back. You purchased it and nothing is going to change that. The proof is right there in black and white.
