Today i got spam from Club Gold Casino . It seems that Club Gold specialises in this kind of tactic. There seem to be a number of Playtech operations who simply dont care and will go out and use any kind of tactic to drum up traffic.
What is worrying though is that in the mailer they have my full name despite me never having registered at the Casino and have sent the mail to a personal email address.
I have also not registered as an affiliate and am highly unlikely to do so considering the kind of tactics that this outfit make use of.
The mailer went to a yahoo email address so im having a little issue finding out who sent it etc etc as i cant see the source code. Any advice would be appreciated and i can then share the details here. The online version of the mailer simply goes to the site.
It seems from the amount of spam complaints that Club Gold have generated in a very short period of time that they are not to bothered by this issue.
All i can say is nice work Club Gold - a brand is built over a period of time , what is happening now might be a short term gain - but it will cause a lot of pain in the medium and long term
