Default Sportingbet rejects takeover bid by William Hill

William Hill targeted Sportingbet with a 350 million takeover bid, but it was squashed by Sportingbet's board.

But it may not be over yet, folks ...

It is thought the UK's biggest bookmaker is now weighing up an increased 400m offer as it looks to expand its online operation through acquisitions rather than organic growth.

I sorta thought this would go through.

I wonder if Sportingbet may be "over-valuing" itself in an effort to try and increase the offer.

Sportingbet only keep affiliate tags for 24 months, after that your player is lost. So like bwin there is a big incentive to send players anywhere but there. Sportingbet also closed their program entirely for a couple of years, stealing the affiliates players and then they opened it up from scratch again. One day some of these dodgy firms that used to promise 'lifetime' will have their contract changes tested in court . .
