Star Partner Lowers High Roller Minimum

While 'Player Quarantine' is what Star Partner has dubbed it... most affiliates are aware of this term as a 'High Roller Term'.

Star Partner have lowered the limit for this Player Quarantine from $10,000 to $3,000. Since their terms (as written) allow them to write off the 1st month's income from the rest of your players - This means you will have more frequent losses due to this term than previously.

This is what Conrad said back in May. I'm not sure the programs themselves understand what this means to affiliates.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but it doesn't appear we got a fair 'vote' in the survey.

With this term, I wouldn't touch Star Partner.

The casino removes the player from your account until he has played the winnings back. At such time he is returned to your account.

In the meantime, you are not affected by the carryover and the casino recoups the loss.

That is what I am used to.

    Hi Dominique,

This is exactly the same way in which our quarantine policy is applied.

When a player has a big win, you earn in that same month for the rest of your
players. Before this was introduced affiliates getting zero.

The bulk of affiliates that participated and voted in our survey opted to get

earnings on their other players even if a player won over$3,000.
    Again, before
affiliates were getting zero for that casino. If and when that player, plays his wins
back, affiliates start earning on that player after the win has been played back.

Some do play it back and some do not ever. All casinos are treated separately,

as always. We have been forthright about this policy from the get-go and have
everything possible to keep it as transparent as possible.

That is good to know... they should re-write the term to say that you will still earn from the remainder of your players for the first month.

The way it is written now makes it ambiguous... and we all know that when a term is ambiguous, most likely it will not fall in our favor

I tend to talk about the exact term itself since posts in a forum are not a contract. If Conrad could adjust the term to 'spell it out' a little more clearly, that would help a ton.

Thanks Andy. You are probably right since the term is pretty much the same at Playshare and PS does not let you earn from other players that 1st month.

    From Playshare:

If both of the above criteria are met (see point I) then the negative net win generated by the high-roller will be carried forward and offset against future net win generated by that high-roller.
    From Star Partner:

If both measures are met (clause 1), then the negative net win generated by the player (high-roller) will be taken forth and compensated against future net win generated by the same player.

The survey was not fair since not all affiliates had their say, I for one never got to vote! Why would they send a vote via email anyway, why not take it to the forums where they know affiliates see it? They are off my sites I am done with these people. They are a great bunch over there and good people but this is a stupid business move and I cannot let friendship get in the way of business.

Your right bonustreak. If you are really interested in what affiliates have to say, then get your message where the affiliates are - the forums.

I never saw the survey either.

I do not like the fact that we have been lied to.

They are telling us they are doing us a favor ..... basically they tell us how much they care about affiliates these days.....

They are off my sites I am done with these people. They are a great bunch over there and good people but this is a stupid business move and I cannot let friendship get in the way of business.
You call them friends? Good people do not treat you this way !
