Default Stay away from Betfair/Paddy Power

So I logged in after a while into my Betfair affiliate account to find out I still have active players.

To my surprise, I got 119 to withdraw. I changed the payment method to Skrill and waited. Of course, my hopes were pretty low since I've read here a lot of bad things about Betfair/PaddyPower.

Today they emailed me, saying my affiliate account is closed/suspended for various reasons. So, instead of losing your time and money promoting them, stay away from Betfair/PaddyPower.

This is just another heads-up which adds to many other threads I've read here about them.

I have just received the same email, this business is dirty and the agreements between Affiliates and Partners is not worth the paper/email it is written on ? Skybet started this all off and knew they could not be touched and since then Bet365, Betfair and PP have all followed suit and shafted Affiliates. In 5 Years I don't think many affiliate programs will still be active (Sports)

    Closed mine today.

"All pending payments will be wittheld and won't be paid"

Fortunately I was smart enough to be on a CPA sports deal and to not promote them anywhere outside a very narrow niche.

Otherwise my players would have been stolen today.

The same e-mail. They dont want to send me the commission. I has account over 7 years, but it dot convert well and has a small commission, that stay for a long time, but they say Any payments or outstanding commission which were due will be withheld and not be paid. They dont want to work with us, ok, but why dont pay commissions? Dont expect this from Betfair (one of the biggest companies in UK), I really dont believe it.

    Are your sites compliant?

They sent out an email informing about quarterly compliance check and in it they said this
"Any site non-compliant and not updated by Friday 23rd August, will result in your account being suspended."

Could be the reason but I still think it is a bit strong in their handling of it.

    Paddy Power are Thieving C##ts.
I hardly ever use that word, but for them, and companies associated/owned by the them, that word is justified.

Sportsbet.com.au affiliate program was a decent outfit before Paddy Power got their claws into. They literally spat in the faces of 100's of their loyal albeit smaller AU partners, by initiating retroactive player quotas. Can't meet the quota... too bad, too sad, we're not paying you. Subsequently they stole rightful earnings, and then closed accounts.

These corporate giants can call it what they like... BUT theft is theft, and Paddy Power et al are lying, thieving, C##ts.

In my case it's not compliance, but their decision to stop accepting Croatian traffic.

Last week I've accidentaly noticed the affiliate links are redirecting back to my website. I checked another affiliate website from the country and it was the same for them. So I emailed Betfair Affiliates asking for clarification. Of course, never got a reply.

I personally didn't lose much, they did. I simply no longer have a dilemma if Betfair or Bet365 API will be the base for an AI sports betting project I'm currently building the database for.

People who were on revenue share in the country just had their players stolen. Wiped clean. I was clever enough to be on CPA as mentioned above.

My player account at Betfair has also been closed. I never got any notice. I had €0 in my account so I can't say what would happen if I had money there.

So this is how Paddy Power Group do things when they're closing a market. Cut clean, steal players, steal revenue, perhaps even steal the money in player accounts.

Enjoy while it lasts. You will be kicked out like old prostitute once they feel you do not pay them off.

How you can not believe it when everywhere is known for years they are total scam.

1st they started to shave Paddy to nothing.
Then they started to close Paddy/Betfair for no reason like mine account.
    Then the Sportsbet.

They are the lowest thieves. There is not anything to be debated here for years. If anyone believed in 2019 they are not thieves, he should do some other job than affiliate marketing.

They are giving me 5-10% after the "big scam" when Bwin decided to lower commissions. However, they were the first I worked with when I moved into betting, so they have a special place in my heart.

Joking. I don't count on those money. Bet365 rulz!

PS: even though Bet365 are still my main source of income, what happens in the affiliate area of this business is not good at all. I am increasingly worried about monetization as I have some interesting projects on the pipe. Things are serious

Things are absolutely serious. Not just in affiliate marketing. I will paraphrase Ethereum Reddit: this is not an affiliate forum, this is a support group.

Also devs got crazy. Young guys from school with no experience and millennial approach to work in 3rd world now demand nearly the money the top guys in USA wanted just few years ago.

If I start something now it will not be online. But everything is online... We sit at the core of the problem of the world which is trust, i.e. vanishing trust. Trust is just some old word, whose meaning was forgotten. I feel like from ancient ages. Maybe I see it wrong and it was nearly always like that; if so, I have to be happy that for few years I saw the potential of trust. Back to dark ages now. If so, we should collect some funds for darkmarket deals and start cracking some bones of those cnuts.

My friend has top quality tea room. Employee after employee is leaving him, trying to set up their own business, with knowledge they think they gained. But ofc they fail. It is just one story of many I see around. Everything is a carbon copy.

Same happened to me today from Paddy Power (I expect Betfair will follow). No notice, just closed down immediately and not even given a proper reason, Just a list of 4 reasons that it may be 1 or more of. And some of them included "suspicious activity" or Fraud / Anti-money laundering" to which I resent the insinuations / suggestion.

If you are going to steal my players after all my hard work at least give me a reason and some notice would have been nice, so I could download reports etc. which I may need in future. Pretty sure they will not let me access anything now.

What a way to conduct business with your 'partners', so unprofessional! And to withhold any outstanding payments due that were earned legitimately during the partnership really takes the biscuit.

It's just disgusting that they're doing this and withholding unpaid affiliate commissions and they just suddenly decide to pull the plug on their affiliates whenever they feel like it. So much for honouring their affiliates and their payments. Even if you've been an affiliate with them for years, that still means nothing to them.
