    So,

CasinoSouthAfrica, you are still directly working with the casinos and are still seeing this continue?

Are you also stating that casino employees are now actively persuing these kinds of arrangements?

This also tells me that security at sites that have been named on here like pokerstars and full tilt stinks to high heaven

They should be protecting the data so much better, they to me are just as culpable.

Hi Rick - I do outsourced and independant SEO for some casinos - So in most cases I will meet with the casinos once a month to provide feedback - Building professional relationships with the employees, when these employees see the value we add to their company they will usually come to us with ideas of becomming affiliates, and they want us to build their sites etc. (we build about 40 gambling sites with 300 pages of SEO content per month 40 x 300 = 12000 pages , so we have a huge network of sites These affiliates usually do not have the money to invest into this network of sites, or to pay us to build these sites for them, so they will suggest that they have a list, and would want to trade the list for our services - In most cases we will report them to the owner of the casino!

In other cases affiliates will build relationships with the "marketing people" or "support personel" - If you earn a six figure income it is nothing to entertain or bribe a "marketing or support person" to maintain your income.

Also the casino industry is known to have a HUGE personel turn over of personel - Person A will have a restraint of trade, Then leave casino X and go work for Casino Y without honouring the restraint of trades... So it makes sence that if Person A is in the Affiliates pocket then he can acquire a list from different casinos and make 10 times his salary hoping from one casino to another...

Certainly raises numerous of questions aside from the obvious. Player poaching comes to mind as I often read “where did my players go?. Plus perhaps a good defense why some brands go rogue. Too many rogue affiliate’s playing games with them. Again the importance exposing these nut affiliate’s for who they are.

Bribing, blackmail, threats, buying DB yikes this does not adhere to our standards. However, I am not surprised this does occur. Something really needs to be done IMO.

One would hope that the level of involvement in the casino is only customer service etc and not in the higher levels.

I knew the turnover was rather high, and suspected some underhanded dealings as well, but your statement does help put it in persective more....

Subject: Poker and casino lists for sale

Poker and casino lists of real money players and signups for sale - various platforms; US or non US with email, phone, postal address.

Now what concerns me is that this is a new email, i have emailed almost nobody with it and it is the same guy.......
It's certainly a sad time when you set up a relatively new email address and get spammed by the same guy.

It's been suggested many times before that for every new casino account you sign-up for you should use a completely new email address. Something that is only used to sign-up at that 1 casino.

I guess we could take this one step further and say use that on every new affiliate account we sign up to as well.

Maybe some of these lists are bogus, but I'm sure from my own similar experiences as yours above Shaun, it's damn clear that some leaks ARE coming directly from casinos, poker rooms and what not.

If there is a buck to be made, trying to stop this trade is a complete waste of time. However if we can pin point the leaks then we as gambling webmasters can take steps to collectively voice our views with any online gaming establishments that are busted leaking this information.

    Cheers

    Dave
