StumbleUpon Traffics Increasing

I have accounts in StumbleUpon and I observed from my statcounters that I actually most referral traffic from my stumbleupon bookmarks.

Have you guys tried it yet too?

I tried it, it's a good service, but I didn't have many bookmarks there. As I remember, only one But even a one bookmark brought me some traffic.

He he I use almost all of them..here is my trick

use onlywire.com., when you login you will have like 30 different ones that will update with the touch of a button !!

Once a day, login and finalize the few that need captcha....Is easy, and fast....I also have a plugin for wordpress so any blog changes auto get submitted...

But yeah is great, and I am sure you will find some more...

Yes, I also tried onlywire.com but stopped using it more than 6 months ago, because I was afraid to spam bookmarking services. I post a lot of information to my site, usually I post news and promotions, and if all this information is bookmarked on 30 different sites, I think it won't look very good from my side.

Good point, So here is what I did

I have a custom widget in the blog, and I set a %, say 30%, and this means a 3/10 chance to post or not...On top of that I have 5 different onlywire accounts, in many different blogs, so for me, no issues


PS i also purposely make blogs NOT related to my keywords so don't look like spam, such as entertaiment, moives, sports etc. i knock them out in like hours...Havet lately, being im a AM, but that was on of my tricks...

I have onlywire on my slots blog, used it once, I have share this and use for each post, I felt more comfortable manually adding to social bookmarks as I did not see what onlywire posted at the sites. Am I missing something, I would love to understand onlywire and use it. It sure would save time.

So that's how OnlyWire works really. It's actually an automatic-social bookmark submitter afterall. I do have it in one of my blogs but I didn't know it should work like that.

Well there are 2 parts to it


1. Onlywire account, you still have to manually create accounts at the 30+ sites, and plug that info in.

2. Add the button to your site, and its free !!

3. Once a day/week (depends how often you update) you MUST login to onlywire to see results. Some sites need captcha, and ofr now you need to finalize those. (thast for you Chips, I bet if you login you will see erros/ or a finalize needed)

4.Now if you want it to AUTO post you need another plugin for that. I found one (free of course) called onlywire autosubmitter that works well. So you do not have to googlefor it, I included it here on my post. I use 2.7 Wp, and owrk there, never tried older versions. I set it to 30% as the blogs I have average 50 entires a day ( yes all white hat methods)

Just be aware that Stumbleupon stopped accepting your own site submissions if you are using it only for stumble your own content. Even with stumbling others' contents you might get blank submitting page when you try to add your own.

I had that issue for a bit, make a new account and it works just fine. Been submitting my blogs for months.

You can either go to your stumble favorites or click on the favorites icon in the toolbar.

Actually, upon successful submission, your submitted url are automatically saved in their system and also updates the original title of your submitted website. That's why you can tell if your site is being published through stumbleupon if the bookmark's title was change to the links actual title.

Stumble Upon is really beneficial I get lots of traffic from Stumble Upon as well as digg and other social bookmarking sites..

In case you don't like onlywire for whatever reason, socialmarker.com is also pretty good. (You will have to cut & paste - I can't post links yet.)

I used to do socialmarker.com before but I find it inconvenient since you're actually will re-type the keywords if the social bookmarking site doesn't suport commas for multiple tags.
