    Tracking??? Real-Time or Not?

We always test our affiliate partners by registering now and then to make sure the tracking is working correctly and we are getting credit for our signups. We just did a test and registered on BetOnline thru our tracking links but the registration is not showing in the affiliate stats section.

It's been 30 minutes since we registered. We have had extremely poor conversions with BetOnline compared to other books and now it appears our test registration is not showing up. Can you please clarify if the stats are real-time or not? I was under the impression they were but apparently our test registration is MIA.

Any other affiliates reading can you do a test registration as well to see if you have the same problem?

Testing is key and I strongly encourage all affiliates to test the links. I run a test through wheretobet.com and new links I add to this site weekly to ensure my tracking works.

Note since we need to send data over to the third party affiliate software it is worth waiting up to 24 hours to see the signup reflected as they are sent over nightly, and please email me with the B????? and the affiliate username you did the test through and I can let you know whether it tracked or not.

In the event it does not track then we will need to back date where the problem lies as overall the affiliates are sending over 60% of the new signups to BetOnline so it shows that tracking on the large scale is working.

My email is simon at commission.bz and I welcome any email from any affiliate wishing to test the tracking.

Signups have been strong and we have recently added AMEX to our deposit solutions, along with MC and VISA. As well as WU etc... Another major improvement we made was to the signup form and process which requires real data and a real email address getting rid of bots signing up, which can make the conversions look very weak.

    Hi Simon,

When you say 3rd party tracking does that mean a 3rd party company/individual gets to see all data/registrations and assign them to individual affiliate accounts without BetOnline seeing? I ask because we have ALWAYS had a problem with this software that BetOnline uses for affiliate stats. Other companies such as Sportsbook.com, SportsInterAction and Intertops for example have used what appears to be the same exact software and we've always had the poorest conversions with these programs compared to other affiliate programs who use different software.

I am extremely suspicious of any 3rd party company handling stats and the fact that we have always had the worst results with the programs that use this so-called 3rd party software just further adds to my belief that something doesn't add up here. I'm certainly not accusing you or BetOnline of any funny business but I would like to know the name of this 3rd party because I am starting to think they have been screwing us for quite some time because it just doesn't make sense how so much traffic can be sent over the years to these programs and not covert yet the same traffic converts so good at other programs.

Any program that does not have real-time tracking and relies on 3rd parties to oversee the stats/signups is a program I have huge concerns about. This has been a problem for us with this same exact software that Sportsbook, SIA and Intertops also use for years. I understand that some affiliates do well with these programs but who's to say the 3rd party handling the program isn't lifting guys off of other affiliates's sheets and pumping them into their own but leaving some lucky affiliates with accurate stats to give the impression that all affiliates are getting real deal stats?

Can you please tell me the name of this 3rd party and if you know that they also handle the stats for Sportsbook, SportsInterAction and Intertops among others.

The other thing that confuses me about the lack of registrations(nevermind deposits) is the fact that BetOnline's landing pages are so good. It just amazes me that nobody even fills out a registration form from our traffic but they always do at competing sportsbooks that don't have as nice landing pages or even bonuses. It just baffles me and I've always wondered about this affiliate software. A couple other pretty big affiliates I've talked to have told me the same thing.

    NSAWins,

Our affiliate data and privacy policy is taken very seriously and in no way would I allow one company or individual to jeopodise this. The actual signup issue with players from your site is something I really wish to address and hoping now football has come along we can shine for you, as you have always promoted us in the lower season.

Worth noting many many affiliate programs listed on GPWA use a third party solution for their affiliate software and they use this because of the expertise the third party has to offer.

Fair enough. However, many of the affiliate programs rated highly on this site and other affiliate watchdog sites I do not regard as high and/or trust lol. But that's a story for another day.

As for 3rd party software, I guess I would not have as big a problem with it if it was in fact REAL-TIME. However, 3rd party software that is not real-time will always leave a doubt in my mind and I don't care what program has it. Of course, money talks and bullsh*t walks so if we were actually making money our concerns/issues wouldn't be as big as we would be happy with making money.

So, therefore, your replies have been noted and appreciated. We will give BetOnline more burn on our site and at least thru a few weeks of football but I still have no clue why traffic doesn't even at least fill out the registration form on BetOnline when they do on sportsbooks much less known and/or at sportsbooks that have far less eye-catching landing pages and bonus offers.

We'll hang in there and fight the good fight but the affiliate software you use is by far our least favorite and has always made us suspicious.

All I can say is that Simon is one of the "good guys".

If you aren't experiencing the conversions that you feel the site where they are listed should be, discuss it with him and his team and he will work with you and try and help come up with solutions that work.

I have not exactly seen the conversions from BetOnline that I had hoped for, but I am not giving up and have been trying different creatives and different placement on the pages etc in hopes I can improve it over time.

You are right that the software backend is used by many groups (Income Access) and over the years many of us have performed numerous tests the IA software itself is very solid and accurate and any problames many of us have experienced over the years has been due to the OPERATOR and never the software.

I am fairly confident that this is NOT a concern that will happen with a group that Simon is with as I feel he will always do his best to give affiliates a fair shake.

The 3rd party software is powered by Income Access - and they're a top-notch group that seem to be making a big name for themselves in the affiliate space ... their software is in probably around 40% of the backends of my partners. I would much rather see a quality 3rd party affiliate program like Income Access rather than a home-grown solution.

Regarding registrations and deposits at BetOnline - we are seeing good solid numbers - between 40-60 per month.

Tracking and retention seems good in the 3 to 4 months that we've been promoting BetOnline.
