Tracking when affiliate programs pay affiliates

I'm pleased to announce that the GPWA is rolling out a new program to track when affiliate programs pay affiliates created by Affiliate Guard Dog.

The goal of the application is to let affiliates anonymously share when they are paid by different affiliate programs. That will make it easy for affiliates to understand when payments are received by other affiliates for a given program, to see which programs pay promptly or slowly, and to know when their payments from a particular affiliate program are late as compared with other affiliates.

In order to use the new application to enter your affiliate program payments you must be logged into the GPWA website. Once you are logged in you can select the "My Payments" menu item under the "My Account" section of the top navigation bar on the GPWA website.

That takes you to a page where you can record payments you have received. First you select the payment method with which you received an affiliate payment. Then you select an affiliate program that paid you using that method and drag the affiliate program name to the date on a calendar on which you received payment.

Over the coming weeks we will be rolling out a variety of ways to see the payment information provided by GPWA and other affiliate forum members. Initially when you are in the "My Payments" application and you mouse over a date, a pop-up appears showing payments recorded by other affiliates on that date. Soon we will also display recent payment information on the home page of the GPWA website.

This is actually the beginning of a very large effort that is underway to develop applications that allow affiliates to share information with one another using techniques that go well beyond simply posting information in the forums.

I think this would be a very useful tool to implement. Learning if some affiliate programs do fairly among their members. Maybe some might use it to brag their current revenues.

    Very nice

Is there any way the list of affiliates can be in a drop down menu or something, having to click the left or right to go through a list with over 350 affiliates listed can be tiresome, sorry

Also some things need to be considered as an example Bet365 wait on invoices from affiliates and dont do automatic payments, so not sure how one can fairly judge them as an example, i am sure there are others that do this.

    But that said great utility

There is a nifty little search function you can use... Just start typing the name of the program in the box labeled "Search Programs" and the list will shorten before your eyes.

Good point, bwin also needs an invoice, but they are a LOT slower on payments than Bet365.

wow, great development from the team at GPWA and AGD. I know the "payment" threads are among the most popular on all gaming affiliate forums so an application like this will be a nice relief for affiliates.

    Congrats.

I just want to point out that we now do provide recent payment information on the home page of the GPWA website. Additionally, on the page for an affiliate program we now show the dates of recent payments received by affiliates from that affiliate program.

Some nice features ... very tidy.

My drag and drop feature seems to be a bit jerky, but for whatever reason my response times for the forum displays are always quite long - so that might not be an application thing - more of a reflection on the long route back to my office.

Two things did come to mind as I was loading my data in :

    1) Reflecting when a program is a month late.
eg. I loaded in that PDC paid us on 5th June - but that was a payment for April ... so it took 36 days not 5 days.

    2) Program stream payments.
Several UK programs actually pay the different streams seperately, one payment for poker, one for casino, and another for sports etc. I could not accurately indicate which segment was paying.

Betfred and Ladbrokes are two examples I had for that ...

    ---------------

But I'll endorse what others have siad in this thread - a great idea - and a good inital application !!

    Well done to all concerned!

It is simple to use and a great tool for all affiliates. Now all we need is a tool to collect payments from the tools that hold out on us umm.. Andrew can you get on that please asap.

Yes, this is likely a result of the slow connection as I have not seen the jerky movements (but I am on a high-speed connection). I'll see if I can replicate.

Yes, you are correct on that one. I was not quite sure how to implement such a feature. Any ideas, I'd be more than willing to implement something if there is an easy way to accomplish the goal without destroying ease of use

This may not be that difficult. I will look to add this type of feature in Rev2.

hahahahaha - tool to collect from tools Funny stuff.

I cannot come up with a way that this would be 'do-able' for 1 person/company alone. In this industry, we would want a 'collective' of sorts, IMO (i.e., GPWA, AGD, PAL, GIA, CAL), and a standard set of rules to deal with collections.

'and that's all I'll say about that'

    I agree - Brilliant tool.
Just a suggestion with regards to Gooners comment about when a program has actually made a payment for a previous month - would it be too difficult to incorporate a comment box of sorts so that when someone mouses over the payment - it would then show a comment such as " may payment" - not sure if that would be easy enough to incoporate though

    Great idea.

    1) Needs to work with Chrome; right side of calendar is not visible.

    2) Need to be able to delete / change entries that you've made. My first three that I entered were for Playshare Affiliates, and more accurately should have been listed as G3.

    Cheers!
