Default UNLV study says online gaming environment "harsher" than brick and mortar

An interesting study from UNLV comparing the experience of gambling online vs. the brick and mortar experience is detailed in today's Las Vegas Sun.

Quote:
Based on 90-minute interviews with 30 Las Vegas gamblers, researchers touched on an aspect of online gambling mostly ignored in the political discourse: that it can be a negative environment dominated by bullying, foul-mouthed players who prowl gambling chat rooms.
Not surprisingly, opponents of Internet gambling say this is yet another reason to prohibit it, while people who are arguing for regulation say any problems are a result of the fact that industry is unregulated.

What are your thoughts? How is the online gambling experience different from what you experience in a casino?
