Default Videoslots appoints Miles Saacks as Head of Affiliates!

Warm congrats to Miles for the promotion!

Malta, 23rd May 2018 – Award-winning casino operator Videoslots.com has appointed Miles Saacks as its new Head of Affiliates as it continues to scale up its marketing function.

Saacks, who originally joined Videoslots as an Executive Affiliate Manager in January 2017, brings more than 14 years of experience to the role having also worked in customer service and marketing.

Videoslots has grown considerably since its inception and Saacks will be instrumental in liaising with affiliates, ensuring they are happy with their relationship and continue to promote the brand.

Gemma Hodge, Head of HR at Videoslots.com, said: “Miles has shown a dedication and a hunger for all things Videoslots since his arrival and fully deserves to be appointed as Head of Affiliates.
“His love for the job is nothing short of admirable and it’s clear to see both affiliates and internal staff members enjoy working with him. We are sure this is going to be a brilliant appointment.”

Miles Saacks, Head of Affiliates at Videoslots.com, added: “Every day at Videoslots is different and that’s why I love it so much. I couldn’t be prouder that my efforts have been recognised.
“We are a hard-working and dedicated team that works perfectly together in order to achieve our goals. Videoslots has come so far as a brand and I look forward to continuing that progression.”

Videoslots has continued its prioritisation of promoting from within across other roles of late, with Clayton Marquette named IT Manager, Lorraine Sammut promoted to Employer Brand & Events Manager and Ricardo Ruiz now Head of Development.

If you’re looking to join the Videoslots team, please send your CV to jobs@videoslots.com

Miles has always gone the extra mile for affiliates, when, and if he has the 'power' to change things for the better.

Lets hope this continues at VS, now that Miles is Head of Affiliates. Hopefully he can encourage management of VS, to start paying affiliates @ least a true 20% industry standard, instead of the pitiful (on average) 5.89%, that the majority of VS affiliates get on the highly inflated/fake 40% Rev Share.

Aside from that, congrats on the new job Miles.

I totally agree, as a brand, they are awesome just not for affiliates. But I will leave it at that as this should be about Miles.

    Congrats Miles.

There have been so much dirt thrown at Miles at Affiliate Guard Dog by a bunch of losers, that I am very glad, that he made it, despite some wanted to see him face down in the mud.

He stopped also here posting because of this unbelievable wave of hate which was the right decision, because some wannabe rulers attacked also him here on GPWA again and again, and Miles is far away from being evil to anyone.

Hopefully, after half an year he is still happy and lucky with his new job. To some of those people, who attacked him, they should try to run an own company, a company with more than their lousy one-page website and themselves and a rubber doll as only employee. Then perhaps they know, how difficult it is to run a company with a lot of employees and how immense is the responsibility for other people and their families.

You know that, and you treated him always fair. But unfortunately at one point he gave up also here. This are his two final statement with respect leaving the forum:

Miles is a good and friendly person. He’s always positive when he posts and I’ve heard many good things about him. He’s also a top notch affiliate manager.

Hopefully, he’ll be back posting again on GPWA if he is ready and after reading these messages of support.

Wishing you all the best Miles in your new job role.

This post from AussieDave is more than a year ago now. Unfortunately the hope for improvement concerning the affiliate commissions at VS seems to have been in vain. I have also tried several times to make various VS affiliate managers aware of the strange deductions and the resulting extremely low affiliate commissions but all that came back was the increase to 40% which brings nothing. As Dave writes it is maybe 6% or so what the affiliate gets in the end. the figures are not close to those customary in the industry. Normally I would say if for example depositor has the about say 1000 Euro deposit and there are no payouts to winners you get (very low set) in the industry certainly 150 Euro to commission. At VS there are unfortunately still (August 2019) only about half so 60 or 70 euros (The pay I have taken here are an example calculation). I can also not understand the figures in the reports at all. Example: There is an amount of 750 Euro at Gross Revenue then so many things are deducted at VS (Bank Fee, TAX, Game Provider Fee and so far) that at the end at Net Reveneu there is an amount of 108 Euro. Remaining in this case are with a Gross Revenue of 750 Euro, 30 Euro as Affiliate Commission and there were no payouts to players but the whole deductions come only by deductions of taxes and fees as mentioned above. I can not understand this at all. VS is for players an absolutely ingenious site on which many profits are distributed and on which the player has a very very good selection of games. But as an Affiliate I don't know any site that pays the Affiliate comparably badly ?!
But the whole thing is definitely not Mile ! As Dave had written yes he hoped that the thing with Mile better but there seems to be probably the management and the persons responsible there to be unteachable and the fairness towards the Affiliate seems to be indifferent.

Sorry for the bad english I have to use a translator because I come from Germany

However, sitting at the head of this 'snake' is both the CEO and Founder: Alexander Stevendahl. Who was once an affiliate too. Hence, he knows damn well what an acceptable (fair) industry commission value is. And, it's certainly not 3 - 5% of NGR.

This article essential gives people the run-down on Alexander's moral and ethical compass... errr rephrase, lack of.
    https://maltaprofile.info/article/in...-of-videoslots

with little reliance on affiliates. In fact, we’ve only spent €7 million on marketing since we started operating.
You've shaved your affiliates so much, that their rightful-earnings have fueled the marketing, operational costs, and overall growth of Video Slots.

Affiliates do a really good job, but they take all the profits
Boasting 45% commission values but only paying 3 - 5% of NGR... Yes, all the profits.

think operators will rely less on affiliates in the future, and we have already seen some companies dropping affiliates completely. The termination of Sky Bet UK’s affiliate programme is one example.
Seems like Alexander has no issue with dropping affiliates completely.

(no mention of the dropped stats, and other nefarious actions against VS affiliates rightful earnings)

He certainly doesn't seem to see it as, what it truly is: corporate theft.

I have somehow some VS links left somewhere generating few ftds per month and was too lazy to search where they are coming from but you convinced me to make that effort.

As I was trying to mention, my Post has nothing to do with Mile Saacks. I wanted to go into the bad conditions for affiliates at VS again and mention that unfortunately nothing has changed until today.
