If you aren't a cap member I am not sure how the registration works, you should check it out for sure.We went to bahamas and barcelona ,booked our own rooms and just met our aff managers in local restaurants or our hotels. We traveled with our families and just had mini vacations at same time while we nailed down some business.
I know quite a few affiliates who for one reason or another don't like going to the events with big name tags on but will go to the location to meet people outside of the CAP venue.

Thanks CBG. I was wondering about that. I appriciate your candor. I would love to meet our affiliate managers.

Edit: On 2nd thought, I probably would wait for a different event.

What course would that be? Apart from Stupid and Gamtrax's spat which could have been removed from the thread. No points which were raised were addressed. The thread IMO was removed because it reflected badly on the management of CAP and the recent actions they have taken.

Thread is deleted.

A 'GPWA vs CAP' thread is asking for trouble in my opinion, and a moderator probably removed it since it would be more destructive than constructive. I think if you look at it that way, not as censorship, then it's a different story, so I can understand their wishes to keep public flaming and potential libel off their board.

I'm a member there , just don't post very often. Never have felt comfortable at cap to be honest. I'm just a small man on the totem poll when it comes to affiliates and at cap I've always had that "feeling" of not really being welcome. Sort of like a country boy going to the big city and not fitting in .

Fact be known though, there's not too many forums out there that I do feel welcome in.

CAP inviting GPWA members free of charge to conferences? Now there is a concept that works for CAP. Not sure where it leaves the GPWA I suppose in the dust?

Trolling for members with barbed hooks. CAP is camp tailored made for a select few who follow their agenda. I for one would never be interested.

Really what does happen to all those banned members? Can they attend or would they want too?

Michael being banned come on really CAP, give your head a shake.

Hi again all,

there truly are good things about all the forums I visit which would cover the two in question here and GIA and AGD and APCW ... they truly do all have unique qualities not found at the others.

What I find most frustrating is that I want association with people I can trade links with and not have to check them every week. People that i can ask for guidance and trust they won't send me down the dead end road with all the signs that say "you shoulda bought a squirrel" (a USA movie reference where Cathy Bates sends people who don't buy a squirrel down a dead end road with no warning it ends off a cliff and on the way down you read these signs)

anyway point i was getting around to ... is the keyword there is "people".

I would go as far as to associate "forumism" with that of racism. If the only reason you're not associating with someone is because they frequent one forum over another then you are guilty of the same kind of ignorance as a racist because most folks who are just trying to make a living ... either visit all the forums or like myself and i imagine most of you ... found one forum before finding the others and that is as much why you're where you are as anything else.

I used to visit a house that had sisters almost a year apart for about 5 of them anyway. Just because I stopped dating one and may have fallen out of favor with their father (hard to believe I know) ... was no reason for me to decide to not frequent that part of the neighborhood. There were still a lot of cute sisters left and it was a small town.

whether the owner of the house liked me or not ... really was not of importance to me ... they only owned that house ... not the street nor the rest of the world ... and I certainly didn't choose to ignore or be unpleasant to those who were welcome there. Those that were friends with the father ... or even the guys that could cross the property line.

This picking sides stuff really should be re-considered. We're all competitors. is it really necessary to have further division than that?

Good things happen at all the places. Right now someone is probably not going to lose their residence during the Christmas season because of a thread at CAP.

I know there are people here who would have contributed if they'd known.

And it would be vice-versa.

As for bannings ... I will always be a strong believer in a person's right to run their business, property .. as they see fit as long as they aren't physically hurting anybody or breaking any laws. If they see fit to ban someone ... that is a choice that is in direct opposition of the purpose for having created the site so in the end you pretty much dig your own grave and pull the dirt in after you. But that is the right of that owner to do. If Lou's bannings prove a bad business decision it is his to suffer.

To me that has always been that. There was a time when I wasn't officially banned from here but I chose to leave because I knew I wasn't wanted here by the owner. I direly missed many of you as this was where I posted most often (at that time).

rather than hound Cindy I have tried very hard to cut her a wide path and not be any kind of grief for her world despite my continued confusion over many of her issues with me. It just wasn't worth the fight.

I don't think what this seems to be building up ... is worth the fight either.

Hi again,

I wanted to add that not just bannings but business practices in general will eventually reap what they have sown and IMHO there really isn't another part of our world that distributes justice in a faster or more severe manner (short of actual prison of course) than the world of business.

I don't know all the details about any of the issues that currently exist and may not even know all the parties involved as I find out new things every day but I do believe that in the end things may not end up the way any one of us wants it to leave off ...

but at same time I also believe that just like RTG now has problems with its credibility the minute any savvy gambler hears they are the software provider ... you want to know is there anybody you can talk to that knows this place will actually pay you (play you straight)

well it'll be the same with any business doings. If you were wronged I admit you won't likely see the kind of justice that returns the marble the older kids had stolen from your hand ... back to you.

But it will in the end be a situation where nobody will even play marbles within reach of that threat. They won't even let it close enough to see a marble.

and that's not a threat to anybody. its common sense.
