What percentage of your affiliate payments do you receive through Quicktender?

Over the last several days affiliates have reported issues receiving funds from Quicktender. Earlier today the management of Quicktender confirmed there were issues and provided the following statement to Bryan Bailey (Casinomeister):

We have operated a reputable and reliable payment mechanism for US customers since 2006. Our reputation is important to us, and until recently there has never been any question that players and merchants would be paid. In order to achieve this, we have built over many years relationships with payment intermediaries that share our values of honesty and integrity. In the jurisdictions from which we offer our services we are proud to be properly licensed and constituted, and have even worked with US law enforcement on occasions where criminal activity has been identified.

However, we cannot always predict some of the vagaries of the US administration. Over the past 2 weeks we have in good faith transmitted withdrawals initiated by Quicktender account holders to beneficiary bank accounts in the US. The money left our account in Europe. It was only in response to increasing complaints from our customers that we recognised there was a problem, and asked our bank to investigate. It emerges that the
money has been accumulated in our bank's correspondent banking partners accounts in the US, and has been frozen. We suspect it is possible that these funds may be subject to a seizure order by the US authorities. We would stress that we do not have bank accounts in the US of our own, and that the funds have left our account Europe.

It is our express intention to ensure that the funds of our account holders are safe. For this reason we have decided to suspend future withdrawals until we understand what has happened to the money that has been frozen. If we continue to transmit bank wires into the US we could find that these funds also do not reach their ultimate beneficiaries. This would simply make the problem worse.

We ask our customers to bear with us in these difficult times. Please be assured that we have always honored our obligations in the past, and that we will make every effort to overcome these current difficulties. It is not in the interests of anybody to attempt to financially impact QuickTender further. These actions may impact the future viability of the company and the ability of the company to pay its customers. We are assessing our
current exposure, and how best to reintroduce withdrawals safely.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their past loyalty, and to reiterate that we will take all possible steps to ensure that our customers money is secure.
So, for this week's poll let's try to get a handle on what percentage of affiliate revenue our members currently receive through Quicktender. And be sure to share your thoughts about how easy you expect it to be to shift revenue you receive to other means if that does indeed prove to be necessary.

I would say 50% or more of our income is paid via QT.

We have started contacting programs to see what other options are available so it's to soon to know how easy it will be, but I expect that being a US affiliate that the options are going to be check and maybe wire.

I need to find a international affiliate to partner up with because this I don't see payment methods getting any better for the US affiliate.

Whats really wrong about this is that most of my earnings are not from US players. This is where I find it unfair to freeze all the funds or how they cant know this and release the non US $$ trail.

I would say 90% of my income goes through QT. Most programs don't have many payment options other than QT or wire (which is usually a $500 minimum), so I expect it to be difficult to shift to a different method. I hope they do figure something out, but at this point it doesn't look good.

I get all of my affiliate payments via Neteller. If the program does not support Neteller, then I opt for the wire transfer option

If there are any US affiliates working with Rewards Affiliates who need an alternative to QT, please email me.

The sad thing here is, that being an affilaite we do not break any UIGEA laws to the best of my knowledge. We do not process payments we simply advertise but it still a very gray area. At the end of the day I guess we almost condone it but it is still sad that we are getting penalized. On a larger scope, from a US affilaite with over 90% of my rev from US players, if players start losing money and cannot make withdraws there will be a mass exodus from poker and casino. I want to play some poker right now but I am not risking any more money without knowing I will get a cashout - sorry I digress.

I think in some instances it will be hard to find an alternative. It will go back to waiting on checks for weeks on end and hoping they clear after your bank freezes the funds for 14 or more days because they are drawn on an non-us bank. I think alternatives will appear, it will just take some time for them to be established. When Neteller left we were like what do we do now? Then all these current alternatives sprung up. Someone will be willing to take the risk for the reward - just human nature. I just hope it doesnt take to long!
