Default What's so great about this work?

I'm wondering what it is about this line of work that is so fascinating and satisfying to each of us. What are you into it for? It's proabably more than one thing. What keeps you going in it, even through the dry spots, the lows and the highs? What keeps your interest?

I thought it might be interesting to find out what everyone has to say on this topic.

For myself, it's the great potential for income, of course; the successes I've had along the way so far help to keep me interested. I did nearly drop out at one point, but that is way behind me now. I stay now for the satisfaction of creating and maintaining a site, and the challenge of making it work, and creating a healthy income stream (I'm sure it will happen!). The people I meet, this forum, the learning. It's addictive.

Discovering this line of work has been, all around, one of the most important things to happen for me, a life-changing experience.

Oops, I'm getting a bit maudlin now. I'll stop.

But what keeps you in the game?

I like my work very much. First of all I like to work at home (it was my dream when I finished the university and started working at a one company).
I have no any managers or directors who say to me what to do(which I hate!)
And of course money!

Besides work at home, income potential etc, if this is the century of knowledge, the internet marketing is the prefect sample.

With 80% of learning (available for free in forums etc) and 20% of wallet, we can earn money.

The money is the first thing that comes to mind when I set up jackpotavenue. Although its a tough industry, the future income that can be developed is what keeps me slaving away!

Definitely the money, but I also love the business. I enjoy working on my websites and watching the money just flow in (well used to anyway). But online gambling is definitely where the money is and hopefully it will resurface again as it was in the past before all of the credit card restrictions and now this ridiculous online gambling prohibition act.

It's challenging, it's profitable, there is never a boring moment, and you gotta love the people in this industry.

There are people of every description, ages, countries of origin, likes and dislikes, dispositions, you name it.

Some things we all have in common are an enterprising spirit, the ability to think outside the box, and a willingness to explore new things. While there are always some who don't get along with some others, overall there is a helpfulness, willingness to share knowledge and cohesiveness in this industry that you rarely find among competitors.

I think that is one reason the conferences are so great - they bring us together and we can learn from each other.

I gotta vote for the people making this such a great industry to work in.

I enjoy gambling... But the only reason I put as much into it as I do is the money.

Now, when I started I was just having fun with web design and some other technological bits. But I could put those to use without the hassles this industry provides - if not for the potentially big paydays.

I am enjoying everything about it!

I find it so facsinating to see how google slips you in at number one spot and by the afternoon you are sitting at the bottom if not page 2, tweaking your pages and seeing the impact in the serps.

Learning something that I knew nothing about, and keep learning about it.

The financial aspects of it and what it could do to further my family.

The people I have met and some who are the most terrific in this business who don;t have to help me but want to, and believe that I will succeed.

I find everything about this interesting and even though I have my not so good days where I feel maybe I am wasting my time, and when is this going to happen?I It takes just one single positive factor to wipe the slate clean and keep me going.

I am always reading and searching for ways to help my site grow.I ask alot of questions, if I dont understand soemthing I ask, than I do more research. It takes me probably 3x as long as the others some das to figure something out especially when it comes to design but each day brings something new. Today for example was the first time I have actally learned some of the great features of Photoshop to make life all that much simplier.
