You could also work with casino affiliate programs that do have a poker room -- just don't promote the poker room. Examples here: Brightshare, Casino Coins, Rewards Affiliates, Referback, and Fortune Affiliates. I send my visitors to the casinos, and they never cross over to the poker rooms.

Occasionally I will have a big winner wipe out my earnings at one of the casinos, but this is rare. If you have multiple income streams from multiple programs, a big winner at one program won't affect your revenue that much.

In the long run, you should be able to make a lot of money promoting casinos.

Good Point mate, but actually i promote poker only. My players join my community and we have leader boards on points.

I actually fund all players a free 50 dollar bankroll. I do all security checks.

NOw some of course abuse this. But for the most part all play poker only.

The only problem is some of them play Casino games. I do not actually want to promote casino games.

Simply poker for this site. I am however building a casino one, where the programs are different from poker. Your idea of course is best.

But my main concern right now is i actually pay for all my players, and the site wont do anything to protect me in case there is a big win.

I mean i can handle a few hundred here and there to loss.

But when i asked if a player wins say by chace 10 000 20 000 well i am bankrupted. All i can do is stop promoting that room.

I just find this not very good. As all the work i put into it for months would be gone. Because of a chance win.

Daily i build my base with solid skillful players. I help them increase the funds i give them.

SO it would really hurt if a big win wiped me out. If my account was negative a few thousand there would be no way i could continue.

It just seems crazy that way. But i guess i need to promote allot more sites to ofset this.

My only problem was i was told to only promote them for 6 months exclusively.

Now that im a little wiser i think i will proceed to widen the portfolio.

Comeing here as shown me how i have been taking advanatage of, and i will be allot smarter in the future.

Thanks mate for your input

Personally for myself, I have found that Poker pays better for the sites I promote. I have had a great few months for some casinos but this month my stats were going great, until a few big wins!

IMHO poker would be great, if not rakeback sites. You get new people, help them with your site to become winning players and then they go for rakeback . So you have little while they are new to the game and get nothing as they are good players.
So I think casino is a better variant, though with poker you never loose .

I hope POKER...!! All the way to the bank i hope!!

Just started a poker listing site. Poker seems to be more of a social game, where as casinos are more about the game than the mind tricks! I would rather play a game of poker. because:

1. You have more control over your money in terms of winning or loosing.
2. Poker you can sit down at table with a complete stranger and end up having one heck of a chat.
3. And poker seems to be played more and more online these days because its so convenient.

But thats just my opinion!

Regards

Your 100% right. Face it, all of the best internet sites are migrating to similar social interactions. That's why poker is doing so well, because it's very socially orientated.

I believe that online casinos could benefit by making their games more socially orientated. Competitions, raffles, and the hard core presence of other players. If I could get a hold of some great programming teams I would love to take a crack at designing new socially orientated casino games.. lol (dream on, I know)..

Yes but that is so true. Imagine how many more people would play at casinos. I mean how many times have you seen people having a conversation at a roulette table or a blackjack table.. I can maybe recall 3 times if that! So yes if you could some how make casinos more social I think you would make a killing!

Best of luck

In the beginning, 6 years ago or so, I promoted casinos only, poker starting coming out at that time (Planet Poker, Paradise, Absolute) and I joined the affiliate programs from day one on many of these. The casinos were making small income (this was the first year or so I was doing this) and the poker didn't start making money for months.

As the poker got more popular, the income went up and up and up and basically goes up every month, except for the curve balls of the USA market dropping out and a few other things. Poker is steady, steady, steady, I can count on it every single month, it's never negative.

Slowly I changed my sites over to advertise more poker and less casinos. The only time my income dropped significantly was when someone won big in the casinos. Now that I have almost no casino advertising, my income is steady and increasing almost every month.

I'm sure the casino market makes some of you all HUGE money, I just prefer to not risk and I know in a few years I could become quite wealthy from it, patience!

Yeah that was very insightful and encouraging.

I realize Rome wasn't built in a day. and that sites take time to index on search engines and sometimes it takes months for your first deposit etc.......
Thanks Pokertramp...lol

Hi:

Thanks for this useful post.

I think the same about casinos, you can win very big some months but if a player win a jackpot you will be in troubles. Im starting a poker site too and I want ask to the poker webmasters what market are you working, because after the problem in US I don't know what country/language work in addition of my native language (spanish).

Thanks!
