Alright, who's going.
Would love to meet some folks for a drink and hang out a bit.
Should be a good place to make some good contacts. Let me know if you are going!

I AM!!In fact, I'm working on a "Becky's Bender" article right now which will suggest some great MTL restaurants, bars, clubs, strip joints (ha), etc, for all of us to check out during the show. I will post it here when I'm done. Of course I'll be around during the day as well- I've got the CalvinAyre.com camera crew and Ayre Heads coming and all...we'll have fun for sure.

Oh yes you did!! I was there!! Marty Jenson & the Main Street Affiliates guys took us for dinner and he told me in private that his goal was to get you to the strip bar after dinner. I told him no way- unless he gives you a whole lot of red wine during dinner- so that's what he did, and "The Ballet" is where we went! I do believe a lap dance or two was involved as well...hahahah![]()

Speaking of fun, I have put together a fun Montreal entertainment guide for GIGSE delegates and for anyone who finds themselves in the city! Enjoy it- I think I now know more about this city than Boston where I grew up!!

Interesting list you compiled Becky.
As a resident (born and raised) Montrealer, I have to include some of my favorites that NEED to be visited if you are going to come to Montreal. We DO in fact have some amazing restaurants that don't cost a fortune (no offense to Queue de Cheval - which is deliciously wallet unfriendly).
I'm going to compile a quick hit list that should be...well...hit, if you're visiting my fair city.
I'll post it on Monday and you can let me know what you think![]()

It is an interesting list. I might skip the Eggspectations, myself. Bagel Etc. on St. Laurent and Marie Anne, or Beauty's on Mont Royal at St. Urbain are amazing breakfast spots. It's a bit farther from the convention center, but definitely worth the trip. Especially if you're looking for the best blintzes ever (at either spot).
While you a in Montreal don't forget to check out Aussie Pies in Montreal.
The butter chicken pie is awesome and pies are a great hangover food.
As promised, I have included a quick look at some great spots in Montreal to visit if you're visiting.
Breakfast:
Ok, you can go to Chez Cora, or Tutti Frutti, but lets be honest...If you're coming to Montreal, you want to eat something GOOD.
L'Avenue on Mont-Royal (right near the metro stop) is amazing. There's a long line (proof of it's popularity), but the food is awesome. breakfast, lunch, dinner. Great food, cool ambiance, nice place. One of my favorite places in Montreal.
Lunch:
Really depends on what you're looking for.
Anton & James is a great little artisan bistro on Stanley (near Chapters). they offer some amazing pizzas, wraps and sandwiches for about $10 each. You won't be disappointed. If you want to grab a quick bite, it is definitely worth stopping by.
They are known as an "Urban Chic Cafe". But don't think they're all hipster and prententious. The staff is friendly, and they have a variety of baked goodies that are worth the $2 cost.
Dinner:
M:Burger is a solid choice if you want a tasty burger with a side of sweet potato fries. This trendy spot is the ultimate 'make your own burger' joint with an upscale edge.
Just to give you an idea of what they do...You can get truffles on your mac'n'cheese. Ya, I know...AMAZING
