    Default A word of caution!

Please do not consider this a sour grape or disgruntled former employee flame but.... Over the next few days, if you have not already been, you may be approached to join Pimp Your Poker/Big Daddys Casino and Pokerroom as a player and or as an affiliate. Please approach with eyes wide open and with extreme caution.

I say this as the ownership of the mentioned brands was under contract with my affiliate network and I was the affiliate manager for BigDaddys Casino and poker. The contract was effective August 1, 2008 and of this posting I have not received any payment from them. It has been one excuse after another. I know deep inside I will never see a lick of payment due.*

If the ownership is unable to pay a contracted affiliate manager how can we expect the players and affiliates to be paid?

The Poker Site that is being used for the games is also on the IGS (aka FutureBet) network and I can say that cashouts to US players, even with ewalletXpress is halted at the time of this posting, this comes directly from the network administration and not a rumour. BigDaddys make the claim that it is Merge Poker network site but in fact it is sub-leased to the licensees from iGamingSoftware in Vancouver, not Merge in Australia and the processors are not Merge Gaming but use "ClickCashier". I apologize to all the affiliates that agreed to promote the brand while I was involved with them.

The choice is all yours, and you could earn a ton of commission, but then again..............

Again, just a word of caution before you work yourself to the end for nothing.

(*I will re-post if payment is received and will retract that portion of the post.)

Default Where there is smoke there's fire!

I'm not a poker affiliate, but I certainly appreciate you bringing this to the attention of other affiliates. Actually, I personally feel obligated to let other members know of my experiences good or bad with any affiliates. That's why we are here. Good job.

I for one, would not touch these guys who defaulted on their agreement with you. I think that others will read the post take your experience into consideration as well.

Thanx for the warning .. I was pm at my forum just the other day by someone from there trying to get me to be an affiliate. I wasn't interested in the kind of program they are trying to run in the first place, but now I definitely won't consider it.

    Thanks for the warning Chips.
There are so many poker rooms/casinos out there to promote that I don't normally touch any of them if there is a whiff of non payment. Why have all the hassles when you can stick with tried and tested brands that you know will cough up.
It takes a lot for me to put a new brand up. I do a fair amount of research first

    Wow. Hectic mate.
Am not sure how to respond to this, I could say that in the two months that you were contracted you brought a total of approximately eight affiliates – but I am not going to.
I could say that your total turn over while under contract amounted to $0.00 – but I am not going to.
I could say that you created the impression that you were to work full time, but it landed up being a part time job for you – but I am not going to.
What I am going to say, is that I have always been in contact. I have never not responded to a skype, an msn or an email. I was most accommodating in every aspect of understanding that you have health issues and a full time job. I agreed and provided for, all the promo’s that you wanted to run with zero return.
We agreed to end the contract but not the relationship. On a personal level I like you very much and feel completely betrayed by this post. I think it is unjust, unfair and yes, sour grapes. All the issues relating to your payment have been honest ones, if they were not it would have been easier to just ignore you completely. I could also have argued that you did not deliver on your promises and therefore demand a reduction in your fees – but I didn’t .
As far as PYP is concerned – the two operate completely separately from Big Daddy and operate from the UK – all of this to ensure that the same issues do not crop up again. Lessons learned. On that note, BD has also been sorted out.
I hope that this time you do stick to your word. That when the money arrives in your account that you do make a full retraction. You know how many people have put their heart and soul into making pimp-your-poker a reality.
Looking forward to a positive response and to setting the record straight.

I am the other party based in the UK working on Pimp-Your-Poker and can 100% honestly say I have recieved payments for works done on the project on time and as agreed.

Pimp-Your-Poker although sponsored by Big Daddys Casino and Poker Room is a completely seperate entity and is run independantly of the said site. Big Daddy's only provides the platform and the cash for the free rolls.

I am bitterly disappointed that this post was made as this site is going to be a winner for affiliates and poker players - and time will prove this.

Default Two sides to every story...

There are always at least two sides to every story...

As one of those who have poured blood and sweat into Pimp Your Poker I feel a need to get involved in this.

I have been acting as a consultant on Pimp Your Poker for a while now and before committing my time to the project I made a number of inquiries into the financial security for both affiliates and players.

I can assure you this is not a rinky dink fly by night set up. there is a major amount of money being poured into the software and advertising budget. We've already delayed launch by a month to make sure all the bugs are gone. All deposits will be secure.

I have not asked for nor received any compensation for my service to date. I am convinced that BD Poker is secure and I'm so convinced that Pimp Your Poker is going to be a major hit with both players and affiliates that I was happy to help work out the wrinkles and glitches. I know I'll make a good commission from the program and I know the players will love the value they get for their money.

I'll do my best to address each issue in order...

BigDaddys Poker is not Pimp Your Poker! Bruce had a contract for service with BigDaddys. The issue he has is with BigDaddys, and has absolutely nothing to do with Pimp Your Poker.

Sour grapes... hard not to think so when this post appears in a very busy public forum just two days before pimp Your Poker is scheduled to go live and after Bruce being told on Monday that payment was on the way.

    Payment for services rendered
Bruce (Chips) was informed that due to Forex controls in South Africa, there would be initial delays in payments. Bruce agreed to be patient. Craig made every effort to pay Bruce in a timely manner. Craig went so far as to set up an out of country bank account. Unfortunately, due to the bank freezing Craig's account for more than a month, the funds were not cleared until this week. Craig informed Bruce via Skype on Monday that the funds had been cleared and the money was on the way. He should receive it next week.

As for the IGS issue.... funny how Bruce had no issues with that when he asked for the Affiliate Managers position with BigDaddys. Yes, he was aware! And he also knows that BigDaddys had entered into a contract with IGS before the whole Futurebet scandal broke. When Bruce approached me to join the BD aff program, he was aware of the IGS connection. He was also acting as affiliate manager for Doms casino, another site using IGS software.

After the FB issue, BigDaddys Poker was quick to look at other options and is now on Merge Poker Network. The payment processing is being moved in house as soon as the licensing has been approved. BD Casino is still using IGS software but will also have the payment process moved in house.

    Cashouts
Yes, there is a problem for American players getting money out of BD at the moment , the same type of problem all US facing rooms run into. The eWallet they were using has stopped accepting American transactions. BigDaddys is in talks with PicClub as we speak to provide a safe and more legal option for US players. American BD players and affiliates will be able to cash out through PicClub or by check by the end of November.

I repeat, Pimp Your Poker is not BigDaddys and Bruce was never under contract with PYP.

PYP is operating out of the UK and has Paypal, MoneyBookers and checks as payment options for affiliates. Since the members pay a fee to join a forum, the commissions earned on memberships sold are not gambling related and are therefore legal in the US!

What this really boils down to is a dispute between two parties over contract issues. It has no bearing on Pimp Your Poker and has no place in a public forum.

I'll stake my reputation on everything I've posted here. Anyone who knows me also knows that I put player security ahead of the bottom line. I wouldn't be involved with PYP or BD if there was even a hint of impropriety.

In this industry, when a player or affiliate has trouble getting paid, the news travels like wild fire. Check the forums, there are no complaints against BD from either players or affiliates except this one post.

So, bottom line, it's your call. Take Bruce at his word and don't get involved. Or, take me at mine and get in on the ground floor of what is absolutely going to be a cash cow for both players and affiliates.

    Thanks for your time,
    Terry

Terry, I have always, and still do hold you in very high regard, and this will not change. I am not looking at starting a post war by any means. I simply do not want to expose any affiliate to the possibilities of losing time and/or money. As I said above: "A Word of Caution". If things are sorted then great! It will be good for the industry and for all concerned.

As for the payment. I was told this past Monday that it would be done by this weeks end, not next week. Guess what? No payment has been received as of close of business today, and since the bank is in either So. Africa or Mauritius (sp?) had it been sorted this week it would have hit my account long before closing as there is a 6 hour time difference. Please be aware that the first promise made was for mid September.

The connection between the two sites is rather close as the same person owns both.

At the time I signed up to be the AM there, there were no payment issues other than the fact that Credit Cards were not being processed to US clients... ewalletXpress was working. I was also told this by Craig. And yes I did promote Doms on the same network. My bad 150% and I have offered my apology to those that followed my recommendations.

The last comment I will make is that I will stand true to my word and retract the above statements of non payment upon receipt of due payment. Until such time I shall stand my ground and remain silent on the issue.

As promised, I am retracting the portion of this post that deals with the lack of payment. Payment was received today November 3 2008 via bank wire.

    Hi everyone,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
    <o></o>
First of all for those who do not know me excuse my poor english, but I am french lol.
I have to say that I have been in touch with both party and I am very disappointed in some of the comments that Bruce AKA “chips” talks about.
If there is a problem, there is always a solution, and there is no need to degenerate about any party involve with BD, on the top of it especially if it is a different company, like Pimp-your-poker is clearly, as an affiliate manager for a program, if you do your job correctly you should have known that!
I believe that some of the details mentioned up should have been kept confidential and had no need to be posted on this Forum.

I had on my side only had a great feedback about Big daddy who paid me a upfront campaign fee without any “financial difficulty”. At no stage did Craig been dishonest about any problem and was always upfront about potential problem in the past. I found that the program had no problem to payout or to communicate.
They are always available over the phone, email or skype. They have been the first and only program thus far other that MGS or Playtech I trusted enough to send traffic to knowing that they will take care of my players.
They are competent and most of all honest, which now our days is more and more difficult to find, I do not like to take any part in involvement like that unless I have fact that proves me wrong.
But what I learn so far is that as an affiliate marketer Bruce is willing to hide some crucial information for him to make extra bucks. You know what I am talking about Bruce.
To finalise everything I have to say if I had contracted anyone to do a job and that person would have delivered $0 in NGR I would have told him to better find a good excuse and better not ask to be paid.
In what kind of world can you complain about not getting paid for something you did not deliver, and worst of all complaining to get paid late?
I have to say that thanks to GPWA forum, I learn and share a lot of vital information about operators and how to run a safe operation for my players, but one thing for sure is that I will not trust Bruce neither recommend him as a person of trust neither will I recommend any of the programs he works with!

The company I work for IGASA (Internet Gambling Advertising Standards Authority) would stop this sort of thing from happening.

IGASA was born out of a initial suggestion to advertisers: that if they were able to set a list of requirements (that would apply across the board to all affiliates and advertisers), that sites had to meet in order for them to pay premium rates. Out of that seed IGASA was born. A body that would be all inclusive, that would help regulate the industry for the benefit of both publishers and advertisers.

So if any affiliates are interested drop me a message or an email and il get back to you.

I agree them not paying is wrong and should be avoided. HOWEVER You know just as most do futurebet is a scam operation and if your willing to let them advertise here for some cash this puts you in there league.

Your not the only forum to turn a cheek on not caring about its posters etc however its a shame You would go this route since your business model is based on "honesty, Honor, and Respect" Pretty much excepting them as an advertiser here from day one has pretty much wiped out your integrity. I know several operations have considered pulling out from this.

    Be Careful what you deal..

Yeah. Reading through the posts in this thread, it made me recall about your posted thread about the Story in Big Daddy's Casino. I was really intrigued with that post that I recollect this one could be connected there.
