WSOP champ Cada talks online poker

Joe Cada made World Series of Poker history on Monday when he became the youngest Main Event champion of all-time. The 21-year-old from Michigan honed his skills online and wore a Poker Players Alliance patch at the final table.

He spoke out about online poker in the U.S. to Time Magazine after his historic win:

I support the right to play poker online. Poker isn't gambling. It's a hobby, an activity, a game. It's not about luck — it's about logic, decision-making, math. We all should be able to play poker on the Web if we want to, and I believe that making it illegal strips us of our rights. This is an important issue, and hopefully we'll see it resolved soon.

He looks like younger than 21. Dang, If I take home $ 8.5 million I will be glad to build a poker house my own. That was a big money. Well, congrats to the youngsters for the good job done.

Err. Yes it is gambling. Without the money element the game degenerates into an all-in fest. Poker is gambling.

LOL - it is about luck the way you play it Joe !

It's about 50/50 all-in shove, or in Joe's case 20/80 and get lucky to beat the overpair !

Still all credit to the man for having his say on online poker - I just think that his arguments are not well chosen.

    WSOP - Pollack's gone!

    Hi,

One for industry geeks rather than poker fans (I suppose), but: WSOP president Jeffrey Pollack is leaving today
