Following, but not betting. I really enjoy the olympics... must be my multitasking side where I am watching snowboarding one minute, speed skating the next, then skiing, etc...

    Watching it definately.

The rights to it down here were won by a pay TV digital channel - and they've set up four special channels offering wall-to-wall coverage.

Fantastic for sporting fans - and you can easily channel surf so that you don't have to watch any stooopid ice dancing that dominates the public channels coverage.

But no interest in betting on any of these events - nothing has caught the imagination - and over the firast few days it's been my impression that a weird series of circumstances has managed to mean a lot of upsets.

    - dangerous luge circuit means rapid changes and surprises
    - melting snow means trouble at snowboard and downhill races

Surprises and underdog stories are great to watch when you have no money on it - but frustrating if you're punting.

so my wallet is firmly tucked away and I'm simply enjoying the spectacle of the whole event.

Watching but not betting so far. May risk a few bucks on the next ski jumping events though, since the small hill was dominated by the Swiss Simon Ammann, I feel it makes sense to lay him this time. Just a feeling...

My knowledge on these sports isn't good, I prefer to watch the games but not make any bet, it would be a waste of money

I'm watching, not betting, but might on the hockey medal rounds. I'm saving my betting for the world cup this summer.

Canadian coverage is pretty amazing, they did a syndicate buy and at times there are 4 or 5 networkds (in english) with different coverage, but usually only 3 feeds. Unfortunately they're blocking MSNBC and CNBC so i don't have full access to US coverage too.

Weather conditions in general have made this a really tough Olympics to bet on. In the biathlon sprint, only the first 10 skiers had a chance to win because a snow storm slowed down everyone else. That left many of the favorites out in the cold with no chance to win.

Right but that is something that is generally true for all outdoor winter sport disciplines in my opinion. Especially in ski jumping, though...

My favourite event so far has been the snowboarding cross! did anyone see that?? absolutely crazy - about 1 of 4 boarders completely crashed and burned during every race!

Not saying that its the only reason it was good to watch - but the winners really fought for the top spot!

Didnt help that the track was more ice than snow...

Neither following nor betting. I don't follow the olympic games since ages. I was involved in the software development of the sports events during the 1972 games in Munich and became witness of a discussion between representatives of USA and then UDSSR bargaining, before a boxing match, on match fixing to benefit both nations. It has gone worse since then.

    Word!

I never knew about this sport until a few days ago and I find it to be very spectacular and fun to watch. Hope to see more of it between winter games but Eurosport seems to ignore it consequently...
