Default Are you promoting download casinos in 2017?

    Hello,

I have check some Casino lists in the last days, many Casino still offer download clients - incredible.
The software is often buggy, slow and incompatible with AV tools.

The same is with flash, some casinos still offer flash games...

    Regards.

This is very strange, but the most casinos still use flash games. And yes, many casinos don't change they landing pages since 00's.

I noticed a lot of download casinos targeting South Africa an Thailand. And what was the most surprising, some of them called by affiliates as the best performers! It might be something we just don't get about these markets yet

Some brands I promote do offer a download-version, but there's always a browser-version too. I wouldn't recommend any visitor to download casino software.

I don't and probably never will. I don't think alot of people trust downloading an online casino when it's rare.

You'd be surprised that the biggest players still prefer download.

Although we have been slowly obtaining the Desktop HTML5 software for our brands, we are still offering the download software along side it.

While I've had a few whales on mobile, I agree the majority are still download. Also find the longevity of download players far out-ranks others.

Wow that's interesting. Didn't expect that, wander what the psychology is behind it. Do they actually trust it more?

No,the Client is on players computer, this is the difference.
But, i always look for quality, good support, good games, here is no space for a crappy download casino..or a 20 year old landing page.

Quality convert better...and we all know this.

The player experience is better on a download client. It's not laggy like browser play amongst other things. The download client has the full game downloaded so it's only hitting the server for the result of the spin. Also as mentioned above, there is no lag between choosing games etc.

A lot of players who start in browser play have downloaded the casino. Same with mobile users.

Players are only seeing a 20 year old landing page if they have to keep going back to it to play in their browser.
Majority of high rollers are also older. That could be a factor too.

The CasinoAction client from RewardAffilates use 54% Cpu Power on my end 7700k /5,1Ghz.
A browser would never do this..

A Html5 Game is much smaller and load faster than a Game in a Client Casino...try it out.

Btw...html5 dont spread so many false positives warnings..

I've tried out browser casinos and I see the difference in performance. Personally I don't like to download anything, however I am not a gambler let alone a high roller so my opinion on what is better is invalid.

Load time in browser would depend on your internet connection.

And you're right about the false positives. I doubt any players are looking at that website, and if they report the AV not letting them play, we can get that fixed pretty quickly while they have the browser version to use in the meantime.

I'm not trying to argue that you're not right. You asked if anyone is still promoting download casinos and I'm just pointing out that the biggest players still prefer download. For what reason that is, I don't know exactly for them all. If you don't like download for the above reasons you've mentioned, you don't have to use it.

Yes, for RTG in special (those target US), and to have the full game portfolio, the player needs the download version.
For some poker rooms it goes the same, actually many players prefer the download version over the no download version.
