My wife felt the same way for a while. We met half way - I moved my office into the living room of our house, so we were in the same room more often and I cut down on the poker games a little. I also take more family time now. I work later at night and/or earlier in the morning.
Lately, since the money is flowing better, she seems to like my business much more. The other night, she even asked me why I wasn't playing as much poker lately... that was right after I won a couple decent tournaments!
I recently went into expansion mode meaning more time at the desk so I began talking to her more about my plans and what kind of revenues i was expecting to make. This seems to keep her happy since she's in the loop.
I even asked her to start managing my aff accounts since I often go weeks or even months without checking my commissions. I think if she's more involved she'll get into it even more. I ask her to proof read my stuff and ask her advice on marketing.... smooth sailing now on the spousal support front.
I also took my wife to the PAP Canadian Meet up in September so she could meet some of my peers. Having her sit in on some meetings made her feel like part of the biz!
