I opened an account with them last night. It was pretty simple. They are allowing you to open accounts even though they won't be operational until March. Thought I would jump in there and get a head start just in case it turns out to be a major online payment processor for gambling sites. We really need more options for affiliate payments right now.

I just signed up at YouTeller and my mother in law did also , yeah it is probably better to go ahead and register now and get a headstart before it gets more public and everyone starts joining at the same time.

Sincerely, Casinofever

Excellent! A payment processor with a little distancing from the US financial community can only be a good thing.

As of now, YouTeller.com is planning on accepting U.S. customers and will process their internet gambling related transactions. Here's the e-mail thread:

Quote:
Dear Mr. Narayanan,

yes, if our legal consultants are nor changing their advise...

Thank you for your inquiry.

Kind regards,

Peter Deveraux

Hello,

Will you be accepting U.S. customers? And will they be able to transfer money to online gaming sites?

Thanks.

This place at least looks very promising for now. I hope they keep this stance once they get going. I went ahead and opened an account, hoping to miss the rush.

E-gaming Review is reporting that YouTeller's U.K. certification claim is false and that the company listed as being registered with the FSA isn't even aware of YouTeller.

Thumbs up I Checked With F.S.A About YouTeller & It Says They Are Registered

Hi Y'all, I went to this site
http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/

and typed in youteller & you teller (in separate searches) and it says each time that they are registered. I did the search under the firm search tab.

If you type you teller & click to put a checkmark in the box by Currently authorised it says

Search conditions

FSA Firm Ref:
Firm name: you teller
Post code:
Match level: Best
Currently authorised: Yes

If you type youteller & click to put a checkmark in the box by Currently authorised it says

Search conditions

FSA Firm Ref:
Firm name: youteller
Post code:
Match level: Best
Currently authorised: Yes

P.S: Here is an interesting link to check out that has some threads posted about youteller & neteller.

Just received this press release from YouTeller:

Quote:
New E-Wallet YouTeller.com Follows the Gmail Model Seed Capital Ltd. launches a community-based payment processor.

London, United Kingdom, 02/22/2007 - New customers will be able to register a YouTeller.com account only at a member's invitation. "Our servers could not handle the traffic if we open our doors for a public sign up. But it is our first priority to provide our customers with a stable service and a reliable support", says Florian Schweitzer, spokesman of the London-based technology company Seed Capital Ltd. and adds: "YouTeller.com follows the GMAIL model. It will be a community-based payment processor". Within March YouTeller.com will invite 1000 customers, who have already signed up during the preregistering period. Public account registration is "not planned within the next few months".

Schweitzer believes that their "150 Euro per account and transaction limit" will help them to be "not interesting for terrorists or other criminals". "Our target group are people who play community-orientated online games like poker, chess or role-playing games. People who need instant and worldwide payment processing." underlined Schweitzer.

The network-orientated registration process has a second advantage: The security system can track money laundering networks easily. Schweitzer emphasizes that they will cooperate with national and international institutions in cases of money laundering while they care about their customer's privacy. "We will not give anybody access to our customer's personal information except when a court or governmental regulators may require us to disclose information about them. In this case we will disclose only the information which is required", declared Schweitzer.

Earlier this month, shortly after the Isle of Man-based payment processor Neteller had announced its decision to pull out of the US gaming market, Seed Capital Ltd. introduced their new payment processing service 'YouTeller.com'.

So they are going to charge a 150 Euro set fee? Did I read that right? What was the point of preregistering - very misleading. Not a good start, IMO! I haven't heard anything from casinos/aff programs looking forward to this launch - any idea why?
