Default Zynga unveiling real-money games destined for Facebook at an event in Spain

Zynga will be showing off its real-money offerings that will soon be available to U.K. Facebook users at an event in San Francisco today.

Zynga is making a clear distinction between its existing social app and the gambling app so that users donít get confused about which is which. The apps have different looks and color schemes, though they both share the same social DNA.

Itís not yet clear when the apps will launch. Zynga will have Facebook versions of ZyngaPlusPoker and ZyngaPlusCasino, as well as mobile versions in the near future.

The apps are the first result of a strategy the company began pursuing in October 2012, when it hired seasoned real-money gambling executive Maytal Olsha.

Will be interesting to see whether this could spark a bit of a poker revival, considering the other recent posts about the market.

I think it will, It is only a matter of time until Ultimate poker states to expand their advertising base out of Nevada, Im not sure if facebook can do one state but if they can I bet that UP will be on the all the social networks, especially if they make the deal on the Taj.

I spoke with someone at Ultimate Poker on Google Plus about when they are going to be exepting affilaties. They person got back to me quickly and attached an article saying that they eventually will but their plan is to expand first (which they are doing).

However if they accept affiliates is it just going to be business based out of specific states? I read somewhere that affilaites may only be able to do CPA if they do not get some type of license. I do not remember the source of this article, has anyone read anything similiar?

I have a doubt in gambling future on Facebook. Yes it has huge player base but if they wanted to play for real money they would have already done that on some online poker site.

I wonder how popular Ultimate poker actually is at the moment...
