Kind of illustrates how much money they must be making. These are experienced corporate businesses, you don't (or shouldn't) normally make these types of 'mistakes' by accident...which suggests some may have taken calculated risks where the risk of a fine was outweighed by the expected profits.

An old boss of mine, in an entirely different industry, enjoyed telling me regularly that 'if you're not getting any complaints then you're not trying hard enough.' A bit of this mentality perhaps, as you say calculated risks and the costs of doing business.

Very interesting read. Mistakes possibly caused without due diligence, moving to fast, honest mistakes or just carelessness. Thoughts are all over on this one.

The combination off all those marketing restrictions, such as adding new logo to the footer each time and all that b**it is so funny when on the other hand this is totally fine: https://www.gpwa.org/article/aston-v...410&uid=131020 .

For sure considering that most visitors to sites are actually people interested in gambling, in comparison to those that just came to watch a football match.

The British market is huge. So such fines are certainly not very severe for operators.
I think that despite the regulations, there are still a lot of Brits betting with offshore cryptocurrency bookmakers and others. Probably by regulation it is not some huge percentage anymore. But I think there will be more penalties of various kinds, especially by the increasingly strange regulations introduced by the regulator, not only in the UK but also in many other countries.
Eventually, countries will over-regulate and the gray market will grow, as legitimate companies will be bound by more and more regulations.
Of course, I'm not against fines for these rich companies from the regulator, if it's due.
