Any of you guys around the northeastern parts of the U.S. There is SO MUCH SNOW! I read that they were expecting even more, but when I woke up this morning the piles of snow were grandiose. Anyone else having fun in the blizzard of 2015?

Holy Snow! I'm with you edgar. I'm on the southeast coast of Massachusetts, a couple miles from the Atlantic. It's still coming down. It's times like these that I really appreciate being able to work at home. We still have power and we have a fireplace, so far so good but much of the town is shut down.
I peeked out the front door.
Then the back yard. It's going to drift up over our 8 ft fence..

Now that's proper snow! If we get as much as an inch of the white stuff here in England then the whole country virtually grinds to a halt...
Now when this snow melts the Atlantic is going to rise and Al Gore has a case again.

Darn! That's some serious snow.
My prayers are with all of you experiencing this storm and hope that you all stay safe.
I am in close contact with my mother in south central Pennsylvania, she has seen quite a bit but not near as much as you guys in the New England states. I was up there recently and saw 4 or 5 inches the day before I left at the end of the 1st week of January, but that was nothing like she got yesterday...but I did remember my distaste for cold while I out shoveling it Jan 7th in minus 13 F....so stay warm all....BRRRRRRRR

Yes, there is definitely a lot of snow here more than a foot. But a lot less than the 20-30 inches that were predicted earlier. The main GPWA office is located about 10 miles outside Boston. The governor declared a travel ban starting at midnight last night, so it would have actually been illegal for us to drive into the office today, so we are all working from home. Technically, news media are exempt from the ban though, so I suppose I would have been OK if I had decided to drive in this morning armed with my Casino City Press business cards.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my flight to London Wednesday evening to get us set up for the LAC conference is not disrupted. We shipped 1,500 kilograms of GPWA Times magazines and iGaming Pocket directories to distribute at LAC and at the ICE conference that follows next week, but I still need to pick them up from the warehouse where they are being held and take care of delivering them once I arrive.

So Michael,
Have you gassed up the snowmobile for the trip to the airport?....LOL
Anthony and I joked about that yesterday, hopefully you won't regret flying out yesterday to visit Vin or even me and flying out from a different city....lol

Dang son - stay safe and warm all!
Hope you've all stocked up well for the next few days and don't forget to check in on those old folks that live next door!
And if someone fancies bringing a few snow clouds with them to LAC, I wouldn't complain - we haven't had any here for two years now...

Thanks for the well wishes. Finally it stopped late last night. I was afraid we were going to turn into a gigantic snowball!
We got over two feet. The winds were 60+ mph causing huge drifts and dangerous conditions with power lines, branches etc. The driving ban has been lifted (There's a $500 fine if you are caught driving and are non essential personnel.) We never did lose power thankfully. A generator is the ticket though, once your power is out it could take several days to get it back on.
Now the digging out begins!
Thanks Mojo for posting a second picture from the same angle, it does show how much more you got.
I had heard that all of Cape Cod lost power at one point but a portion had been restored.
I hope all stay safe and if anyone needs anything (besides a bunch of us trying to fly in to shovel) let us know and we can get together and try and help.

Thanks Rick, that's very kind of you. We're ok and warm (fireplace). We are shoveling a little at a time. By 'we' I mean Joe.
It's a crap shoot if you lose power or not. The longest we lost power was 5 days but others have been out for weeks in some places.
I'm not sure the state of the airport. Some flights are running I think. Hopefully Mr. C got out ok.
I don't even know if we would like snow that much in the UK. We complain when we don't get any, yet when we do get some, we complain and the country comes to a stand still over a few cm's!
As the actress said to the bishop - got two inches last night here
