Seals of Approval

The GPWA Approved Portal Seal lets players know that the designated site is managed independently of the sites it provides information about or promotes; that it respects and upholds copyright standards; that it does not send spam email, use unethical search-engine-optimization techniques, or promote or display pornography; that it provides consumers with information extending beyond banner ads and links; and that it acts professionally and respectfully in its business activities.

The Gambling Portal Webmasters Association was founded in May 2001 as an organization that promotes responsible gaming, strengthen relationships between affiliate program managers and portal webmasters, and give its members a way to collaborate with other webmasters. The GPWA’s 5,000+ members communicate and share information in over 80 forums, with 27,000 threads and 190,000 posts. In July 2006, the GPWA was acquired by Casino City, the world’s largest provider of casino and gaming information.

Can you please explain to me how the listing by traffic rank works. i see many sites llisted above mine that have lower traffic ranks and in some cases don't even show traffic info on alexa. i think the listing is great but can't see how the sort by traffic rank works?

Can you please explain to me how the listing by traffic rank works.

The traffic sorting feature for the portals listing is purely based on Alexa data. For portal with the same alexa ranking alphabetical listing is used as a secondary sorting criteria.

Portals with alexa rankings below a certain reliability threshold are treated as not ranked, which results in those portals being listed alphabetically. The alexa rankings relative to other GPWA portals are included in the listing, and those sites without a number indicated are below the threshold. This is what is happening with your site (www.GamesIncorporated.com) -- other portals that also don't show a rank on GPWA are showing up higher because of the alphabetical sorting.

We have received your private membership application and I will make a note that you'd like to apply for the seal as well. I apologize for the lack of response. Your application is in progress, although I expect it will take some time before the review team is able to complete it.

Your initial application didn't mention if you wanted all your site reviewed for the seal or only some of the sites. Please send me a private message indicating which ones you'd like included in the seal review.
