are 4 affiliate links better than 100
On my site I have cut down my advertising from 30 casinos to 3 and my overall profit has increased 5 fold. Has anybody else found this or is it that my site looks less cluttered?

There is several ways to look at this:
3 Good Programs will out produce 1000 mediocre ones.
Increased exposure and more pre sales text do increase conversions.
Too many choices for visitors tends to muddy the waters and they exit.
All are valid points and any could be the cause of what you are seeing.
I think you made the right move, but just one suggestion...
Don't put all you eggs in one affiliate basket. A bad month (or three) can be devastating. I had this happen to me by relying on two programs for 80% of my revenues. One switched software and commissions dropped by 70% the other one had conversions drop by 80% and reveunes by nearly 60 percent. This occurred over a six month span and all I could do was watch in disbelief. No amount of additonal advertising or exposure helped. Thank heavans I added some new programs and saved my business. Others weren't so lucky.
Remember to diversify between several good programs to help even things out in the event one or more experiences a downturn.
Hope this helps

Good advice Prof
Lesmc1 - if anyone knows about affiliate programs Professor does.
I have always promoted lots of casinos yet 75% of my income used to come from one particular program - when that program went cold on me last year I suffered a major drop in income - if I had only been promoting a couple of programs that would have been catastrophic for me.
As Professor rightly said don't put all your eggs in one basket
Best of luck with your site

I've always made a concious effort to spread my income among many casinos/groups. I've worked on commission most of my adult life, and learned that one a long time ago. :-?

THANKS
Thanks for all your comments. From what you have all said I think it's best to up the number of casinos to about 8 or 10, which is quite difficult for me as I only advertise UK casinos. I have advertised Ladbrokes in the past but I have still yet to be paid after one and a half years.
Thanks again for your great comments

There are more and more casinos accepting Pounds and Euros.
For a list of MGS casinos accepting Pounds, Euros, and Rands, go to this page on my site - http://www.videopokerjunkie.com/microgamingpage.htm
There are also a few MGS from Spiral Solutions or Paymasters that I'm not carrying right now because of their scumware usage.
Also, Casino Euro at Affliate Lounge - http://www.affiliatelounge.com/?from=gambling
Sterling House from Richwebmaster - http://www.sterlinghousecasino.co.uk/?pf=9742
William Hill - http://www.williamhillcasino.com/us/index.php3?1332417
