Default 60% Commission, No Negative Carryover, No Bundling - MainstreetAffiliates.com

I have some very good news for you all. Effective immediately, MainstreetAffiliates will no longer carry over a negative balance or bundle casino earnings!

Additionally, all new affiliate accounts will earn 60% commissions until the end of January, 2009 (up from our already impressive 40% base rate).

Mainstreet has no intention of leaving the US market. We remain fully committed to you and the US players you recruit.

As always, we're committed to ensuring you are paid promptly. We are one of the fastest paying affiliate programs and are consistently recognized for this.

I'm sure you'll agree that this, combined with removing negative balance carry over and bundling, a 60% commission rate from now until the end of January 2009, makes us a great choice for your premium ad spots.

I’m available for anyone’s questions via forum, PM, MSN or email.

    Regards,
    Jason

    Jason,

This is excellent news! I have always heard great things about Mainstreet but because of the bundling and neg carryover, I was reluctant.

    Thank you !!

    Hey,

Yeah a lot of people were leary of that. I posed a question to some affiliates, how many of them had ever had a negative balance wiped out to zero? Was it often? Funny how I didnt get any answers.

Regardless, we felt this would be a positive change for us and our program in light of the recent affiliate void in the US caused by MG.

If you need anything just let me know!

Sorry Jason, I must have missed that. I would have given an honest answer, as I usually do.

I cannot speak for everyone and this opinion does not nessacarily relate to Mainstreet. From what I understand from others and in my experience is that if an affiliate has a large neg carryover and requests it to be removed, the Aff Program will agree but will also confiscate that player. Lose/lose for the affiliate. Coupled with bundling, a large neg carryover leaves the affilaite in quite a quandry. Do they continue to give them top exposure knowing it may take some time for them to recover? Usually not. Should they sacrifice the player? Never.

Thank you for asking Jason! This is a positive change. I, for one, will be seeing a lot more of you!

Good deal! Thanks for thinking of us. Will take a look at your program. What properties do you offer? What software is used?

I went to sign up with your program and was reading the terms had a question. Perhaps you can translate this for us:

    7.4 No Negative Carry-Over
Certain Brands and Services, including, but not limited to casino, are subject to house losses which would result in negative Affiliate Earnings. However, we have decided not to carry forward negative balances (equivalent to increasing the effective commission rate to affiliates). THERE IS ONE POSSIBLE EXCEPTION. WHERE A HIGH ROLLER IS PRESENT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MOVE THE PLAYER TO A SEPARATE ACCOUNT WHICH YOU WOULD CONTINUE TO BE PAID ON BUT WHERE NEGATIVE CARRY-OVER WOULD APPLY. THIS IS NECESSITATED BY THE MONTHLY VOLATILITY WHICH CAN RESULT FROM SUCH PLAYERS (NEGATIVE MONTHS FOLLOWED BY POSITIVE MONTHS CAN BE EXPECTED IN ORDER TO ARRIVE AT THE STATISTICAL AVERAGES). Determinations as to what constitutes a high roller are up to the Group.

Management explicitly reserves the right to reinstate negative carry-over if it so chooses.
    Thanks for your help.

Great news!! I've been working with Mainstreet for a while, and they are not bad at all. Except for the carryover issue. A couple of months ago I was victim of it.

I really recommend them. All their casinos use RTG software.

    Hi Chips,

We haven't defined this yet but it will be a VERY BIG PLAYER and is only there due to the fluctuation that can occur with a statistically small number of very large bets from a single player (where the theoretical edge is achieved over a period longer than one month). It still protects your main account so that your earnings are stable.

    Cheers,

    Jason

You've got my attention, for sure. I've been an aff for a few months now (o8 downloads/1 signup who won 10 bucks), but never had much incentive to push very hard.

One comment about the sites... They have a "popup" type download box (it doesn't popup, but acts like one)... I've just never been a fan of sending traffic to sites that do this as it will annoy most people I've asked (granted, I guess I am not the typical gambler?).

Default Is No-Carry-Over the Exception or the Norm?

Negative carry over is really getting to be an important comparison point between affiliate programs, isn't it!?

Do you guys find that MOST of the programs you're involved in DON'T carry over negative balances? Or is it more like you really have to shop around to find one that doesn't?

I raised this subject in an article that will be in the next issue of CAP Magazine. Since so many have so much to say about it, I'm thinking we should do a follow-up, with more opinions and observations from here and elsewhere, in the next issue!

I'll give you a call about this Jason -- we've been looking for an excuse to get together, ya?
