888 'Pausing' UK Q2

Received the below that pertains to 888 Sport and Casino for the UK. Seems like all deals will be set to zero, even existing customers.... I guess this is how they pay their £19.2 million fine?

As we continue the integration between 888 and William Hill, the group is looking to optimize the UK activity. While we do this, we will be pausing your Sport and Casino UK campaigns from April 3rd (only 888Poker remains untouched).

All of the Sport and Casino UK traffic will be managed by the UK team based in London which you probably already know. In the meantime for international, we will still continue without any changes.

Your UK deals from 888Sport and 888Casino will be set to 0, the UK team will reach out to you to discuss deals going forward for Q3.

We received this email regarding UK pausing too. And not long time ago there was bad news regarding Swedish and Danish market. However when logging in I agreed to the following:

(i) websites www.mrgreen.de, www.888.de, www.888poker.de, www.888slots.de and/or www.888sport.de (including any device specific versions of such websites) and their related applications will be governed by the Affiliate Germany Agreement;
(ii) website www.mrgreen.se (including any device specific versions of such website) and its related application will be governed by the Affiliate Sweden Agreement For The Mr Green Branded Sites.

Please scroll down and read carefully the Affiliate Germany Agreement and the Affiliate Sweden Agreement For The Mr Green Branded Sites and agree to the new Terms and Conditions to log in to your account.

Yeah I did but getting a response from an 888 AM is not easy. As always their communications are never clear and as they say 'Your UK deals from 888Sport and 888Casino will be set to 0' I can only assume that means all deals, including existing customers.

If you or anyone else manages to get clarification on this please let me know.

Have they confirmed that with you? I've emailed but not heard back yet.

Tbh how they handle this will say a lot about how the company will be going forwards.

Just checked the stats for yesterday and it's still calculating commissions, so looks like existing accounts are unaffected.

As soon as I read your post, I immediately remembered the saying “A leopard never changes its spots”.

Even if they will actually be honest about one thing (which, I’ll never believe to be the case), they’ll still deceive their affiliates in one or multiple other ways.

All the big brands are the same these days, bar one or two. I simply refuse to send any big brands traffic these days, or casinos licensed by the UKGC. The gambling industry in the UK has quite simply become a farce.

Saying one or two, the one would be Bet365. However this is a brand that I never even got to promoting, as their conversion was shockingly poor. So, one could even remove Bet365 from reputable casinos (in my experience)
