In case you missed it last week, Scott Tom, the founder of Costa Rica-based Absolute Poker, pleaded not guilty in a New York federal court to charges he violated a federal internet gambling law and engaged in a money-laundering conspiracy.
The 37-year-old Tom, who was one of 11 people indicted on "Black Friday," agreed to confront U.S. charges stemming from a long-running criminal case targeting internet firms like his operating illegally in the U.S.

He was released on a $500,000 bond following a court hearing. James Henderson, his lawyer, said in court he expected a plea deal soon.
"There's going to be a resolution in this case quickly," Henderson said.
