Default Adsense for gaming sites--some questions

    1) I have not used adsense at any of my gaming sites, but I saw this recently
    https://support.google.com/adsense/a...ef_topic=23390

Around March 2015, AdSense will begin supporting inventory for a new standard sensitive ad category, Social Casino Games, as part of a limited beta program. The beta will be supported in English only.
“Social Casino Games" are defined as simulated gambling games (including, without limitation, poker, slots, bingo, lotteries, sports betting, betting on races, as well as other card games and casino games) where there is no opportunity to win anything of value (such as money or prizes).
Standard sensitive categories are allowed by default. Learn how to opt-out of this sensitive category.
For more information regarding the AdWords advertiser beta program, see Social casino games beta program in the AdWords Policy Center.

    2) If you reside in Canada (my site is hosted in Canada also), you can participate in adsense.
According to Google--you are allowed to monetize pages with online gambling, information about online gambling content and pages that link to gambling content. Gambling content includes: online casino games, sports betting, bingo, lotteries, tips, odds, handicapping, mahjong, educational/supplemental materials and bonus codes.
    a) Are there any Canadian affiliate site owners that participate? b) Is it profitable and worth the effort and G screening process?
    c) do you offer other monetization methods at your site?
    Thanks for your input.

I do AdSense gambling ads for my site (WagerPod.com) the revenue is pretty decent if you have gambling ads turned on in the settings. Direct banners are always best but AdSense can make up additional revenue, its the best generic CPC network out there.

Well, if you have good website traffic, and these type of ads now are allowed by Google, why don't try ?
CPC for gambling ads is so high, that may be it will be great source of decent income for webmasters.
Of course the big G will take the big part , but I guess the rest of the click's cost will be considerable.

I wouldn't expect to hit those rates available in Google Keywords Tool, I was getting around £3 per click max and according to GKT I should be getting £10-£30 for gambling related adverts. This would normally outweigh the CPA from many bookmakers and everyone would be using Adsense, this would be CPC rather than CPA.

Thats what I found 50 to 1.50 average, and click through is much less compared to betting banners I have, i had a couple of 5's but most are on the low end the space that adsense takes up is much better used for affiliate programs imo

I may be being dumb here but why would you run Adsense for a few pence/cents when instead you can run affiliate ads, giving you rev share and or CPA? Doesnt make any (ad)sense at all !!

Guys, what is the average CPC you get with Google Adsense for casino affiliate sites?

In my experience AdSense isn't worth it, the place could be used better (other banner or inner links) and also AdSense is not liked by people too much. Not worth it in my opinion.

Exactly. I also do see a lot of casino ads, so why take a few cents and lose the commission ?
