Please tell us a little bit about Timeless Poker. Where did this unique name come from? What does it mean?
The name was thought up by the owner’s wife, and I am sure anyone who has been or is married knows that you should never argue with a married woman, she is just always right!
What differentiates Timeless Poker from other online poker rooms? And what differentiates Timeless Poker Affiliates from other affiliate programs?
Well, our room is very new and we are part of a new network. Our affiliate program is unique in its own right, we offer a lot of flexibility to our affiliates, and we offer 50% commission for life + commission cashout at any time of the month and a few other great features and bonuses.
One of the points Timeless Poker is emphasizing with affiliates is the ability to host private tournaments with a certain amount of prize money provided by Timeless Poker. Why is this a point of emphasis? And in terms of tournaments, which tends to convert better – freerolls, or events that require a minimal deposit for a sizable prize?
Well, nowhere else could you register as an affiliate and get your own freeroll setup exclusively for your account; this we believe helps our affiliates to attract new signups. Our freerolls seem to be converting better then our buy-in tournaments since so many of our new players are probably testing the room first.
What else does Timeless Poker do to help ensure players convert?
We manually give rakeback of 25% to players on a weekly basis and we send out our weekly reminders of the up and coming week’s tournaments, freerolls and buy-in tournaments.
Localizing content and marketing is one of the keys to success these days. How does Timeless Poker help webmasters localize their marketing efforts?
We basically offer a number of available languages to players, English, Spanish, Italian and German.
Please describe your revenue share scheme.
We offer 50% commission to all affiliates for the lifetime of the players they bring in, and to ensure that the players keep playing we give free cash on a weekly basis based on the activity of a player in the form of rakeback / or just a minimum of $10.
What security steps has Timeless Poker taken to ensure that fair play is occurring?
We get audited by the lottery and gaming authority of Malta, and we adhere strictly to their requirements.
How do you help affiliates position themselves to maximize profitability?
Our affiliates contact me directly on MSN or Yahoo or Googletalk chat programs and we normally work through their performances and work on special deals, like special leagues, special rakeback or anything of the sorts, and all our affiliates know that we are very flexible.
What are your three keys to success for an affiliate?
Well, you can never have enough knowledge about the market you’re advertising in, or on great SEO tactics or the best places to advertise in, but most important what I think any affiliate should look for is the best support and conversion strategies for their players.
What’s the key to building successful relationships between affiliates and affiliate programs?
In our case I would say SUPPORT. Even though we are a very small brand, you could ask any of our affiliates if we offer the quickest response time. Anything I am uncertain of, I would respond within 24 hrs.
When did you first become interested in the online gaming industry? And why?
I have been in the industry for around seven years now, and I got into it by chance.
What songs are currently on your iPod (or mp3 player)?
I prefer playing on my psp, that’s if I have time left after the four hours’ sleep I get every day.
What's the last book you read? What did you like about it?
“GPWA Magazine.” Thick books are not my thing, and I love the articles they run about other affiliate managers.
What’s your favorite movie and why?
“John Q” – very touching story.
What was your favorite subject in school? And why was it your favorite subject?
Business – not really sure.
How did you get started in this business?
Really by chance – got hired by a company based in Cape Town that was doing marketing for another brand, and the rest is history.
What’s the first concert you attended in person?
Tevin Campbell – “Well, my girl was paying.”
What's your favorite board game?
Checkers.
If you were casting a movie in which you played the lead role, and you had your choice of anyone in the world, who would you pick to play your romantic interest?
Eva Longoria Parker.
