I was an avid literature lover. Literature introduced me to a whole new world of experience. I reveled in reading poems, plays, and fictional stories. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of interpreting the writer’s message. I once read that literature is beautiful even when it is ugly. Jonathan Miller best described literature, when he wrote, “What makes literature interesting is that it does not survive its translation. The characters in a novel are made out of the sentences. That's what their substance is.” — Jonathan Miller, Sunday Times, 1989.
What’s the key to building successful relationships between affiliates and affiliate programs?
This definitely deserves more than one answer, because affiliates and affiliate program reps are both looking for satisfaction, and this cannot be achieved via one medium. Affiliates feel most comfortable with reps:
Affiliate Managers are driven by affiliates who are willing to listen and make changes, where necessary, to improve upon their successes. They appreciate affiliates who provide suggestions and criticisms and are willing to work to make revenue and not just rely on the program rep or the program itself to turn over revenue for them.
- whose response time is quick
- who are efficient

- who keep abreast of industry news and events and consequently know what the best tactics are for maximizing profitability.
Please describe your ideal day off.
Firstly, a daytime catamaran cruise, anchoring just off the shore of one of the neighbouring islands to snorkel and swim, then sailing back to the dock and absorbing a beautiful sunset. Secondly, continuing the evening with a romantic dinner and the sounds of a live steel pan band further setting the mood and giving that warm, fuzzy feeling when familiar tunes are played. And finally, rounding off the night at a local club to dance away those inconspicuous calories digested at dinner is the perfect way that I thoroughly enjoy a day off.
How did you get started in this business?
I’ve worked in online gaming for over 10 years, the majority of the time I spent doing marketing-related roles and account management. I felt that I possessed the right attitude and know-how to help affiliates (especially novices) develop their business and inevitably contribute to their success. The opportunity arose early this year and the timing couldn’t have been more appropriate, so I jumped on board and haven’t regretted one moment. I’ve learned so much and solidified some wonderful relationships along the way.
