Affiliate Manager Interview Series: Trish and Jon - Casino Profit Share
In this third installment of our Affiliate Manager Interview Series we talk with Trish and Jon, affiliate managers for Casino Profit Share. These fun and informative question and answer sessions are an opportunity to get a personal feel for the people who run the affiliate programs, and we hope they will foster rewarding and productive relationships between GPWA members and sponsors.
Cheers Trish and Jon, how are you today?
Trish: Gday! Yeah I'm good thanks, all fired up and ready to head to <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>London</st1></st1:city>for CAP Euro tomorrow!
Jon: Hi there, that makes two of us. I am pretty pumped for the CAP Euro event and looking forward to meeting everyone in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1></st1></st1:city><st1:city w:st="on"><st1>London</st1></st1:city>. I may feel a little different after 20 odd hours on the plane though!<o></o>
<o>
</o> Would you please tell us a little about the websites CasinoProfitShare promotes?<o></o>
Trish: We have 6 Microgaming casinos and actually one of the very first full language Japanese casinos Microgaming has released which is pretty exciting. Our longest running casino is Golden Reef, we've had that in operation since late 2001.<o>
</o> Jon: Yes our brands have been going strong for several years now and they have a good solid name in the industry. I have worked in the VIP Department for several years and constantly received great feedback from players with regards to what our Casinos have to offer in the way of Support, Promotions and Player Loyalty Rewards. The Casino’s deliver what they promise and players keep coming back which is great for Affiliates.<o>
</o>
Please tell us a little about the CasinoProfitShare affiliate program. What is unique about it?
Trish: I guess the unique thing about CPS is personality. We believe that affiliates should be taken care of the way we expect to be taken care of when we deal with companies and that's what we try to do. Also, we released our new stats package in November 06 which is completely different from any other Microgaming affiliate program around. We're quite proud of our little baby, it's all grown up now *sniffs*
Jon: What’s Unique is that you get top shelf support from hard working, friendly Aussies! I have recently been fortunate enough to join Casino Profit Share after spending many years looking after the Casinos players. From what I can see straight up is the fact that Trish has listened to what Affiliates have had to say in the past and has delivered the ‘goods’ so to speak. CPS has everything an Affiliate needs and we can safely say “it’s about time an Affiliate program did what they said they would!” <o>
</o> How do you approach working with portal webmasters?<o>
</o> Trish: Treat people the way that I'd want to be treated! Nothing worse than horrible customer service, I hate it and would hate for any CPS affiliates to experience it while working with us. Also, we buy a lot of beer at industry parties
Jon: Ditto, promise ‘Free Beer’ straight up and then talk shop! Seriously though, there’s a common goal for both parties and apart from good service, I think listening is the key here also. If an Affiliate has something to say with regards to the program and how it can be improved for the common good then they should be heard and action taken.
<o></o>
What has been your favorite bonus or promotion while working with CasinoProfitShare?<o>
</o>
Trish: The Great Aussie Adventure without a doubt. I got to walk around for 2 days at the last CAC in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Amsterdam</st1> </st1:city>with a Burmese Python wrapped around my neck! Best job in the world!! Now if only I could teach him to photocopy so I could give him a permanent job...<o>
</o> Jon: I am yet to do my first promotion with Casino Profit Share due to just starting but I had a blast incorporating them for players at the casinos over the last 5 years. The Wheel of Cash that pops up randomly for players as they are playing was by far the best received. It’s like a lucky door prize! I am looking forward to doing something cool for Affiliates as soon as I get back from CAP Euro so stay tuned!<o>
</o>What is your favorite gambling game?<o>
</o> Trish: Well, I am attempting to learn how to play poker. I don't mind the odd slot or two but it's rare that I play casino games outside of work.<o>
</o> Jon: I used to be a Croupier in a land based Casino for a few years before I ventured into Online Gaming and Baccarat was and still is my game of choice when I have a flutter. A lot of people don’t take the time to check it out but its one game where you can walk away with a profit if you have a little patience. <o>
</o>Are you an animal lover? Do you have any pets?<o>
</o> Trish: Love em! I have my little babies at home. Grub is my puppy, he's an Australian Silky crossed with Maltese and he's about 5 months old now. Also, I have my kitten Jinx who is about 4 months old. So cute and so much fun!!<o>
</o> Jon: Yep definitely an animal lover. I was recently given a Jack Russell Terrier. (like the Crazy mutt from Jim Carrey’s movie – THE MASK) Called him Russell funnily enough and he is the craziest bundle of energy you can roll into a 5kg package. Get yourself one if you want a friendly, loyal fun loving dog but be prepared to wear socks that are full of holes. <o></o>
<o></o>
Do you have any favorite philosophies or words of wisdom?<o>
</o> Trish: "It's about time an affiliate program did what they said they'd do!" Wait, that's one of my lines, I'm not sure that counts. How about one from Yoda "Do or do not, there is no try".<o>
</o> Jon: Just remember, the other line always moves faster...until you get in it! <o></o>
