Affiliate Program admin fees

I don't operate on the affiliate side, although have dabbled (fairly inadequately) a longish time in the past.

That would have been well before this apparent admin fees nonsense. Which might explain what to many will be a daft question (and had no doubt been covered before, but couldn't see a title on it with a quick scan).

So just to clarify/confirm my understanding...although think I (partly) already know the answer.....

Player A loses $100 so admin fee is $25
Player B loses $1000 so admin fee is $250 (for what is essentially the same amount of admin work????!!!!)

Admin fee gets deducted before the affiliate calculation? Or the percentage deduction comes off the affiliate percentage from the loss?

Haven't searched, short of time, but has anyone ever put together a full list of operators and their fees so you can see it all in one hit?

Yes, admin fee gets deducted before the affiliate calculation, so 40% rev share with 25% admin fee is 30% rev share of the gross amount.

Given that these admin fees include taxes and in some cases pretty substantial ones like POCT in the UK, it does follow that it's the same calulation ragardles of the volume of loss - not that it makes it any easier to stomach.

I may be wrong here but I think you are wrong. I think in most cases the admin fee also includes the payment processing charges, the bonus cash, tax and other things. I don't think it is quite as simple as how you state.

However, it is still theft and nonsense. If they say they pay you 40% rev share then they should pay you 40% rev share.

Yes, admin fees are bullshit false advertising.

When a program says the rev share is x% and then removes y% from that every time, off the top, they are telling lies about x%. Period.

And yes, some of them use it to pay taxes, bonuses, etc, but many of them do not and it is a direct false advertisement.

Intertops is guilty of this ****. They end up charging affiliates more in "fees" than they pay in "commissions".

An excellent question on a trendy subject! I wondered why no one asks about it; perhaps most others are too clever or haven't got a clue.

All casino affiliate programs have their own calculation formulas with different peculiarities. Being with one program on 25% may be more advantageous than with other on 40%. It is also challenging to find out how they calculate it. Many of them even ignore such questions, especially when I point them to AussieDave's posts on AGD regarding scam affiliate programs.

Some will also take a percentage off if your players have taken a welcome bonus and won't return it if players lost their deposits and bonus sums back to the casino.

However, some I know say our fee is 30% and includes all deductions and our expenses. This means if your players deposit 1000 EUR, NGR is 700 EUR from which you get your revenue share. IMO this is the best.

The worst ones are those that have a certain fee, and on top of this fee, deduct money for 3rd party services connected to their sites. Often it works out as nearly 60% of the total amount of deposits being deducted.

So, the important is to know how a particular program's calculations get done because these usually advertised numbers like 25, 35 and 45% rev share generally have ZERO meaning.

Here is an example:

Total deductions at Casino A is 35%

Total deductions at Casino B is 50%

Say players lost 1000 EUR in each.

They use admin fees so they can take more of our hard earned commissions into their pockets. Very ridiculous.

usually there are two types of admin fee.. one is genuine which is usually 12-17% casino game cost, 3-6% processing cost + 7-10% platform cost if its white label.. on average i would say 25% is usually legit.. however some brands will add more on top of that too.. 40% of rev share is uusally 40% after costs taken out like most businesses.. however some brands start loading up all their exspenses on top then split whats left with themselves after.

Also to add to this i dont really pay attention to the % anymore, I do the following.. try a brand out.. does it make money? does it make more than the others? is rtetention good? is it always growing? pretty much everything else is irrelevant and/or can be renogtiated.. it is also true that some places will spend more on the staff to get the most out of the player... is it worth sacrificing % to earn more money? or are you working for the %? not the money?
