AffPower is not a GPWA sponsor.

Even though they are not sponsors I have emailed, and skyped and called them to explain the situation and suggest they don't do business with an affiliate that engages in such unscrupulous methods. I have gotten several programs to reevaluate their association with the hacker (both sponsor and non-sponsor), but I can't control the actions of every program in the industry.

I can report my progress and affiliates are free to decide who they want to do business with. I can't ban a program that is not listed here. I will continue my efforts with them in person at the Barcelona Affiliate Conference and I'm open to additional suggestions anyone may have. Please share with me what action you would like me to take.

    Good Morning

I believe that the actions to be taken against these criminals (I call them criminals because they work with hackers and now we have proof):

    1:

GPWA that administrators make a thread where all warn users about bad reputation of this company in order to warn all users of the forum.

    2:

GPWA that also bans all users and representatives of affpower.com because they work like criminals and should not be used the serious and professional GPWA FORUM to advertise on the web.

To have this criminals in the GPWA Forum is not a sign of reliability and safety for all of us users.

To me these are the first two actions to be taken urgently.

    thanks

Anthony, thank you for updating. For some reason, I thought that they were a sponsor.

Personally, I'd be interested in a running list of those programs who have been contacted in some official or somewhat official capacity and have chose to turn a blind eye. I can tell you that I would not continue to do business with - nor would I consider doing business in the future with a program who knowingly works with this guy/group.

Said another way, I believe that if a program is informed and educated as to what is going on - and they still chose to place business with them, they are choosing not to do business with me.

As for all of us and as for GPWA, we all have personal contacts in the industry. We should be, in my opinion, reaching out to these folks and educating them. Likewise, report any serps that reflect (in whole or in part) any portion of this hack. Also, if you see a business that has had their site hacked, we should reach out to them in some capacity and point them in the direction of the "fix". By attacking this from multiple angles, and keeping pressure on these companies via PM, email, at conferences, etc - we will stand a better chance of removing the head from the serpent.

Excellent post Shay and I do think there are cases where education is a key element.

We have seen where it took a bit before a few groups had a complete understanding of what was actually taking place.

I sadly need to throw in my own clarification on this. In some (but not all) cases, I believe that the program or program rep knows exactly the nature of the traffic they're receiving before the educational process. Educating them in a manner by which they can no longer reasonably "play dumb" in some "official capacity" is what I am suggesting so that it completely eliminates the possibility that they do not know.

But they have an active account with promotion title (https://www.gpwa.org/member/fernanda-affpower). I can't see any difference between a criminal GPWA sponsor and a criminal ex-sponsor of GPWA. A criminal is a criminal.

This are not "unscrupulos methods". It's crime and nothing else. A big difference!

You can, because, Affpower is listed here in GPWA officially as "Fernanda - AFFPOWER Non-sponsor Affiliate Program", and every member can be banned. If a member, who is without any doubts involved in criminal activities, will not be banned by GPWA, then I ask you, what must happen first?

And in the meantime thousands of Dollars will be earned, money of criminal origin! Great!

Some things are very easy to understand, if the reader looks at the date of chronology:

    3. September 2014

and over one month later absolutely nothing was done by GPWA with the criminal account of AffPower active here at GPWA, absolutely nothing!

We all are taken for an idiot, because no one can tell me, that after one month things still must be investigated or something else.

And now we are waiting for the next conference, the next year, the next decade, and in the meantime thousands of Dollars will be generated ... I repeat:

    Money of criminal origin!

But perhaps all other have a different view of law, and I am only a stupid, old man without any education, and this hacker case is only a funny game, a joke, something that can be played down. Better we should laugh about it and if the last webmaster feels to be taken for an idiot, perhaps then we will wake up.

Don't forget, dear reading webmaster, that YOU have to suffer by this crime, because without this crime your chances to get good Google position and earn money on a honest way, are much bigger.

As long as this case will be delayed and criminal programs like AffPower are allowed to use their account here as nothing had happened, as long YOU are the one, who will lose money, but you don't pay a sponsor fee, you are not an employee of GPWA, so a lobby does not really exist.

There are no excuses. It's simply too late. Too much money of criminal origin was generated. It's simply too much. Money, that normally have to go to honest webmasters. But exactly these webmasters now learn, why money is the only language in this industry, and if you don't pay you can't expect something.

This is not my way, and I am happy about that. I can watch into my mirror image every morning and only speak out loud what many readers think.

I am sure, if websites of Casino City would be hacked, within one week this case could be closed in a positive way, and we are not talking about months. The AffPower account would be closed within 24 hours, and not a single sponsor would be on the hackers's list.

But the victims have nothing to do with this industry, and the ordinary webmaster is not worth a damn. So then happened, what had to happen.

    A scandal ... and I don't mean the hacker.

I am out of these case, also out of the other hacker thread. It makes no sense anymore. Too much money of criminal origin was generated and this will continue for the next time. This forum missed a big chance to fly the flag and solve the problem quick.

No matter, what will happen now, what was destroyed until today, can not be repaired later.

    It's too late.

    Leopold

I haven't read all about this hacker thread but the problems with Affpower far back longer than these hacker situation and began with the change of the lousy terms & conditions for players what you can call also as a criminal way.

So, i'm not surprised that there are no reactions from Affpower.

Some managers were coming and leave, i guess also they lost much money, because many webmasters have no fun to promote them in regard of the terms.

Since a while they try to reactivate some webmasters, because they must generate money.

Why still no action taken against these big criminals?

Does it seem normal to have criminals among honest people like us?

Does it seem fair that criminals can act and advertise on this forum?

    is this serious?

It's not a matter of courtesy, it's a matter of time. Unfortunately my day has only 24 hours and I've already took 16 hours and 49 minutes of it working. (Not that I am blaming you for my working hours, before you get that idea)
Sounds almost as if you were trying to educate me. Please don't. I only had the chance to respond after talking to all the affected members (or most of them)
In a company we follow procedures, we investigate, we gather information and only then, we act accordingly.
As said before: "We will continue to investigate the issue and any new update should be posted by me on this thread"
Given how you like to be "educated", here's the latest lesson - AffPower is working with criminals.

    Thank you Anthony!

I think what leopold is trying to say is that this account would be banned like any other member who fails to act on unethical practices. It's rare but private members have taken votes in the past on banning member.

Unless I am unclear what a non-sponsor program means, I would think the same applies as any member.

Good luck at the Conference and try to have some fun too!

I am in the process of crafting a nice press release on how cosmik casino and Deuce casino are known to be working with criminals / hackers. Once that hits the mainstream news, it will be over with them. So sad to see them go..

Prior to that, I am also asking everybody to contact Cosmik customer service and ask them why exactly they are working with criminals and hackers.

From my previous post on my hacker thread:

Conversation with Cosmik casino support staff:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Natalie'
    Natalie: Hello and welcome
Natalie: How can I help you?
Me: Hello Natalie, I hear your casino works with criminal hackers, what is the story?
Natalie: I am sorry, but I don't know what do you mean
Natalie: Can you be more specific?
Me: your casino works with criminal hackers who are hacking thousands of websites (including government sites) and promotes your casino brand on them
Me: i would like to know why you are allowing that, and, why you work with criminals

    Natalie: OMG, that's not true
You can read the rest of that convo I had here

I will go through that verified site and blacklist all casinos advertising on there.

Well, even in the hypothetical case that they resolved something or at least did some window dressing, you'd give them a 2nd chance?
