    Default AGA shifting positions on I-gambling

    The American Gaming Association is thinking about shifting its position on Internet gambling from supporting a study on the issue to supporting it at a federal level.

    To present a unified front, members of the association have to work through at least three viewpoints. Some casino companies support federal regulation of Internet gambling. Other members want that authority to rest with the states, like the regulation of non-tribal casinos. Still others, fearing competition from land-based casinos with online outlets, oppose regulation that would open the door to new rivals.

    I saw that on the APCW perspectives. (Go APCW!)

    I think that they want to follow the money, but I don't think for a minute that they want to open a legitimate market for any casinos or programs in the business now (us). They want it regulated so they make their constituents make the money and not regulated for the well being of the population.
