Default Am I getting ripped off ? (fun/real) ratio question

Recently did a test with an affiliate program that I think has pretty good stat reporting.

Here's my ratios for the test:

    Impressions: ~620
    Clicks: 78
    Downloads: 12
    Fun Signups: 8
    Real: 0

I know it's early to tell, but I would have assumed one of the eight fun players would have turned real.

For targeted traffic, what is a ballpark fun/real player conversion ratio?

    Thanks!

No that looks about right to me. My average is about 1/15 fun players convert.

Except for Casino On Net. 720 downloads..only 3 signups. This is what overexpose does for you....

    Thanks alot!
I suppose the key is to try to find trustworthy *new* casinos that are not already part of the user-sharing networks. This is a task in itself!

That's shocking to hear about Casino On Net,guess there's no way in hell any of us are going to compare with Yahoo!. Wonder how much percentage THEY are getting ?.. wow...

My opinion is that you should convert at least 4-5% of the clicks into real players. If the casino converts less than this,I think you should put them lower on your site or dump them completely since you're not making any money anyway.

Wow,4-5% ? Must be great targeted traffic and good new casinos! From the casino I'm trying now I've got about 145 clicks,22 downloads, and 12 fun signups... no real players yet Guess I'll wait a little longer and look for some fresh Casinos to affiliate with!

It depends on the casino's marketing, also. If you're doing that with a casino that offers an upfront freebie, those stats are normal.

    My CON stats:

    Clicks: 292
    Download: 138
    Demo Account: 29
    Subs: 0

29 demo players at a casino with no free bucks before deposit?

CON is perhaps the most apt name I could think of.

Thanks for all the feedback,it helps much!. Got my first signup,no deposits yet. For what its worth, here are my ratios so far for other newbies who can't get into the private forums

For a banner add and short text writeup:

    impressions: ~1800
    clicks: 214
    downloads: 30
    Fun signups: 16
    Signups: 1

The download to fun ratio looks low, could be because some users download the pre-installer but don't go through with the full install...

Yeah,Casino On Net is pretty saturated. I noticed Yahoo's promoting Capital as well now. Any Casinos player-sharing with Capital might get saturated as well

One thing that is very apparent is what works for one portal does not work for another.

For example my best converting casino is windows and has been for 12 months. Some webmasters will not touch them with a barge pole...I have never had a problem.

Wow! I love Windows Casino's look and feel, but I'm definately not converting. 28 downloads and only one fun signup...

Club Dice seems to be my "best" so far..

From my experience it will take a good couple of months for you to get rolling. People download, play for a while, forget about it then come back for a flutter.

Go with a few tried and true programs, referback, casino coins. These are widely exposed but will pay you. Do the grist to get listed in the engines. www.bruceclay.com is a good start. Signup and do the free bit. Make sure your site brings them back. Have a good think about content.
