There's no stigma around the user of the word "gambling" with people who like to bet on sports in the UK so I wouldn't be at all concerned with that - they are reasonably smart in that they realise there is risk involved and wouldn't take the word as being insulting. Like baldidiot mentions, bingo players are those who detest being referred to as gamblers and don't like feeling that playing bingo is gambling, so I would avoid making that link wherever possible. They prefer 'playing bingo' or similar.

With the dice at the top, it does give the initial impression of being a casino site, especially with the domain name.
I'm not a big fan of three column templates, because in most cases their is just too much to distract the visitors.
The best advice is to look at the sites on your competitors and get some ideas on what they are doing to help with
conversions. You'll get to where you want to be eventually if you continue to do the research and try different things.
