Default Am a newbie and am going to LAC

Please take pity on me and my little website, I would very much like to meet experienced website operators for some advice. Have all the relevant affiliate links on my 6 month old site but not really getting many sign-ups and i'm on google page 2,575,510 for the search terms in my area!

If anyone would like to meet up at the LAC please let me know! My site is TweetNaps and my name is Charles.

    Thanks in advance!

you need some links pointing to your site mate and a little bit more content on the homepage won't hurt.

Thank you. Have been trying to link to other sites, have a "friends of tweetnaps" section on the side bar. A few kind websites have linked back. I know what you mean about the home page, need it to have more content but want to try and keep it clutter free. Thanks for your response.

    Hi Charles,

Good way to get the most out of your first LAC is to prepare really well and get plenty of business cards printed up!

Great place to start will be the following posts, hope that they prove useful...

    Hey There,

LAC will be an incredible experience for you as a newbie.

Go to the conferences and don't be affraid to ask questions or even grab a speaker after, these guys are the best so grab their time when you can.

Get round the stands - The aff managers are there to sell BUT they will also help you massively with advice and tips both for your site currently and around trends to react to now and in the future. Just listen and you will pick so much up

Everyone is friendly - This is genuinely one of the best sectors to be in where competitors even work with each other so don't be afraid to talk to people. Also get on the networking tool and start contacting people there - it works on desktop, tablet and mobile so definitely take advantage of it and start arranging meetings

Don't go too hard - There is always lots of chat in the forums about the parties, drinking etc. and this is certainly a part of the event but the event (as you will see) is actually really hard work and is 90% business so don't get swallowed up in the craziness and wake up late, etc. otherwise you waste what will be an excellent opportunity to take your site to the next level.

And feel free to contact me for anything else alex@igamingbusiness.com I am more than happy to help and introduce you to anyone you want to meet if I know them

    Hi Charles,

    Welcome to the forum!

I am sure you will have a blast at the conference and will get lots of contacts. I will send you a Private Message; perhaps you want to start working with us ‘Crazy Rewards’

Thanks for your responses guys. @HodgeyBoy thanks will have a read of those links. @alexpratt Look forward to calling round to your stand at LAC and having a chat. Thank you for your advice, am not much of a drinker anyway! @Maria Thanks for the offer but Casino brands is not really a route we want to go down at the moment. Very much sportsbook focused but if things change will bare you in mind. Thank you.

Damn, that has got to be the best most informative guide to going to the conferences that has ever been produced.

The only thing I would change is eating a lot more throughout the procedure...

    Hi Charles, you'll love LAC!

Just ask as many questions as possible, have a few beers and go to the seminars - you'll come out more knowledgeable and likely better placed to make your site a success!

    Cheers and all the best,
    Dave
