Default Announcing the new GPWA favicon winner!

Last week we had a poll to determine "What icon should be the GPWA favicon?"

A total of 26 proposed favicons were considered and voted upon by 36 of our members. So, this week I am pleased to announce the winner and the runners up.

    Drum roll please!

They all look promissing and my favorite is the one with just G (first runner up) as this takes me back and makes me think of Google.

Many of the proposals were good. So much so in fact that I could not even make up my mind. I sat there thinking for days and ended up not even making picks.

Great choice guys and congrats to TomasA for this great icon

all of them are great choices.

So when will the new favicon go live? I still see the temporary one created.

The new favicon is now up on the website. Enjoy!

It might take a little while before it becomes visible to you. In my limited testing firefox showed the new favicon as soon as I opened a browser window with the GPWA website, but both chrome and ie continued to show the old favicon. Different browsers evidently operate in different fashions in terms of deciding when the version of the favicon they have cached should be refreshed.

Thank You all of you! Especially the people that have supported me putting my favicon in the first place. They have a very good taste, oh yeah! Lol! In Buenos Aires I'm waiting for you with a very good argentinian steack.

To see the new favicon in IE you must clean the IE historial or go to "Temporary internet files" (from IE tools) and look for all favicons, find the old GPWA favicon and delete it.
