This is great news for Antigua and will let me put back some of the casino advertising I had to remove when the UK's Gambling Laws came into force. There are some good gaming sites located there and it's nice to see them putting the effort into getting white-listed.

"I was happy to learn that very little stands in the way of our approval for whitelisting, and I think I can express confidence that this issue will be resolved favourably in the very near future," said Dr Cort.

"We are acknowledged global leaders in the regulation of this industry," said Director of Gaming Ms Kaye McDonald. "Our standards are the highest in the world...........

Firms such as Bodog have been anxious to break into the European market, specifically Great Britain
I thought Bodog were licensed in London anyway.

Default Minister of Finance optimistic about white list reapplication

Antigua Minister of Finance Errol Cort is optimistic about the nation's chances of being whitelisted by the UK.

Cort said, “My delegation left that meeting feeling very optimistic that we would be in a position to address the very small outstanding issues raised by the UK.

“We felt more than comfortable that this is a matter will be resolved and we look forward to the UK putting Antigua on its whitelist in the not too distant future.”

He said that “specific issues” were discussed, but would not go into detail. He, however, judged the overall atmosphere of the meeting to be cordial and very positive.
