Any advice on translating?

I plan to translate some gambling content (roulette guide).
I would appreciate it if you could help me with advice.
What are the costs? What are the best services?
Any good value for money options?
I believe that gambling texts are very specialized and even native speakers sometimes don't have good knowledge of the terms.
I have seen a native English speaker call craps "crabs", but that's another story.

I'm mainly interested in translating English text into Spanish, German, French and Russian.
The options I have found so far are expensive, and I'm not even sure they can do a good job in the gambling niche.
Any help is appreciated.

Costs are always depending. There is a big difference between a student translating in his spare time content from English into Spanish and a professional translate agency translating Englisn into German. And on what you are looking for: a low quality article about a bonus of Casino X is totally another thing than explaining correct Blackjack strategies.

Sometimes it's even better, cheaper and easier to find for example a German content writer with some knowledge of gambling instead of a translator.

I am paying some students per hour to translate. They did/do not have any more knowledge about gambling than the average man who goes to a casino once in the 5 years. Once a week I got a call with them to explain basically some terms and to explain which words are universal and do not have to be translated, like for example Wild can be Wild and not salvaje or furioso. Also to keep them working. Paying peanuts, is usually getting monkeys. I realize that. If they would know all about gambling and be able to work with Swiss watch punctuality they would be way more expensive or working for themselves. But to me it's a better option than paying 10 or 15 times the price I am paying now to a translation agency that neither does not know anything about gambling.

With cheap translators (and also content writers) I think it's always good to know yourself a bit of the language they're writing in. That way you prevent robot text, robot translations or complete crap content. Same thing as with English. Some native English speakers charging a small price do make mistakes of they produce content like "At Casino X you'll find Net Ent Slots like, Alien Robots, Aliens, Aloha CLuster Pays, Arabian Nights, Attraction, Big Bang, Beach, Blood Suckers, Boom Brothers, Champion of the Track, Cosmic Fortune, Creature of the Black Lagoon and all the other names of the NetEnt Slots.

Triple, I totally agree with what you say.
Translation companies are expensive for no good reason.
And personal knowledge of the language (and casino games) a big plus for every admin to help and check the translation.
Any specific resources you can point to? How did you found these students, if I may ask?

They are expensive for some reasons, but not for the reasons we need. :) They are sometimes officially certified or great in legal stuff, but that's not what we need. Hence, we pay for qualifications and quality we do not need.

Personal knowledge is necessairy in my opinion. Content has to be correct in my eyes and a bit appealing for readers.

I lived abroad and I traveled abroad, there i met people and I kept contact with some of them. They have a sister or a friend that studies and is looking for income. Than I give it a shot.

Big pro for me is that this people are not "online experts" that know about spinning articles and software or tools to generate content. They just translate. They're neither no snakes that copy content, use tools to translate or use keywords for their own websites. They do not even have own websites.

A disadvantage for some people could be that they are not very punctual and write when they have spare time. I mean, if I pay a professional agency and I tell them that I want content friday, it's friday in my mailbox. This people work a lot when they have time, but for example when there's party in the weekend or they're dating, I notice it in the deadlines. :)
