I've been using it for a couple months now and love it! I haven't spent a dime, because Microsoft's free Web Matrix offers me everything I need so far. Their tutorials at http://www.asp.net got me going in less than a week.

Oh so you've been using Web Matrix, huh? I just downloaded it last night and messed around with it. Web databases are completely new to me so this is IMMENSELY overwhelming, but I'm *going* to learn how to do this. I don't even know what the difference between all the data field types are! Char vs. VChar? Don't ask me... Yet.

ASP.NET has some great tutorials and some great boards, but I wish they had more... Think it's time to head to the library.

I don't know the difference between the two either  I always use VarChar and haven't had any trouble.

Luckily, I haven't had to buy any books yet. Some of the other resources I've used are http://www.dotnet247.com/ , http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/ , and a ton of MSDN. Good luck with your development.
