The German-based operator said it is assessing the impact the decision will have on its recent forecast for 2024 financial year. In its July H1 trading update, the business said it expected EBITDA before special items to fall between a €1m loss and positive €2.5m.
This estimate does not include the impact of a recent Swiss Federal Supreme Court ruling that found the company subject to VAT between 2013 and 2017.
Bet-at-home announced its withdrawal from the Austrian iGaming market in October 2021 after losing a case against a group of players seeking reimbursement.
Following a round of redundancies, it opted to wind down the online casino subsidiary as the Austrian market was the locus of its operations.
